Hi guys
I was trying to google this and see what I could find....Has anyone ever tried one and if so, what kind and where can I find them?:confused3

My Dh and I used neck wraps when we were in WDW the first of July. It REALLY helps beat the heat. I purchased mine from a lady here on the DIS. I don't have a record of her name unfortunately. I'll see if I can find any info for you.

I purchased similar (i think) things that you are talking about at Kmart in the sporting section. I believe they were called "neckties'. They were cloth material, filled with a gel like/crystal substance. You put them in water, and they stay cool for quite a few hours. They really worked out for us in June! I would put it in a bowl of water, in the refrigerator over night. (they specifically said do not freeze) I kept them in a ziplock baggy, and they stayed cool until atleast mid day. They really cooled me down too!!

I kept ours in ziplock baggies as well. When they would "warm up" I'd add some ice water to the baggie from lunch or from the bottle I'd be drinking. just enough to re hydrate and cool them down again.

I bought some for my trip to the darkside over July 4-I really found them to be more trouble than they were worth.

I used them in June on a couple of really hot days. Worked well! Got them at Walmart for 88 cents, they were in the section with the fitness equipment. HTH

we used them on our day to AK last august. it worked well for the most part but are a pain to haul around when wet and heavy.

we found that the mister fan worked just as well for us.

I bought mine at Walgreens and Academy. They worked great, I will not go without them. They really work well.:surfweb: no trouble at all.

I got mine online and ITA w/ Hedy- I did not like them.

It made a weird squishy noise and it felt horrible on my neck:scared1:

I would prefer to just deal with the heat.
