Has anyone ever used a Costco Code to get discount with Alamo hiring a car?

I have been reading on Mousesavers something about getting a code from Costco which gives you 20% off when you hire a car through Alamo at MCO?

Has anyone ever done this? What is the procedure?

I assume being from London, you don't have a Costco membership. If I am mistaken, then you go through Costco.com pick travel and car rentals, then pick alamo. The code is there and you can book online or through the phone. I have rented through costco for alamo numerous times and have never been asked for my Costco card. The confirmation page does say, though, that they will ask for proof of membership at time of rental.

Just rented last week and used the code. Never asked for the card. As a matter-of-fact, they now have automatic kiosks where you don't even have to talk to an agent. Just scan your computer barcode and off you go. You preregister online.
Got a great deal on a full size for $81 including taxes and fees!

We just got back 12/4 and we did it for a mid size car . and did not have to show cosco card either i got a great deal . And when we arrived we used the kiosk machine to check in then when i went to get the car the nice lady that help me pointed me towards the mid size cars and said if there is anything else parked in that area you get it for the same price, so i asked her joking so what if i take a mini van how would you know , she said i will go with you when we got there there were 3 mini vans parked in the mid size area and i got it for the mid size price good luck sorry for the story just wanted to share .

Keep in mind, though, that if the renter IS asked for proof of eligibility for a discount code and can't provide it (e.g. doesn't qualify), the rental agencies can - and have been known to - change the rental rate to as much as the day's walk-up rate.

GO to BJS.com. Under the travel link you will find coupons for Alamo. A 2 week rental for me was $240. No car needed at the Kiosk
