Has anyone ever taken a Disneyland tour

Tours are great in my opinion, because they help you get the ' lay of the land' so to speak. You find out where things are and a little history and some trivia. Some of the tours, such as the 50th Imagination to Celebration Tour, even backdoors you on some rides, and depending on the time of day will get you preferred seating for the Parade, or Fireworks.
The Welcome to Disneyland tour is short but covers both parks. (very quickly) It is the only one that goes to both parks.

Search the Forums for some descriptions of other tours. Just plug in tours, or the specific name of the tour you are interested in.

:cool1: :Pinkbounc Hi yes in my opinion the tours are worth it we took the walk in Walt's footstep tour 2 years ago really enjoyed it had a great tour guide and we learnt a lot of stuff we didn't know and we're DL fanatics. We are doing the 50th anniv tour this year will be there in 5 days oh yes

I am taking the 50th tour in a week and a half. I was going to try for the Fantasmic buffet, but then decided to spend my money on the tour and take the 4th one of the day so I can have the preferred seating for the fireworks. I'll post a review when I get home.

I've done both the Walk in Walt's Footsteps and the From Imagination to Celebration (50th anniversary) tours. I liked both for different reasons. I took the WIWF first and it had lots of bakground information, backdoor to The Enchanted Tiki Room :earseek: , a ride on the Ward Kimball which broke down, (I think it was the first or second day it was running) and lunch in The Disney Gallery with a pin. Nancy was out tour guide and she had great stories about Walt Disney after meeting and working for him.
The FITC tour was great. We backdoored onto the Pirates of the Caribbean pirate: , Big Thunder Mountain Railroad :earboy2: , and Buzz Lightyear's AstroBlasters :earsboy: , plus we rode the Ward Kimball, which WAS working, and saw the 50 Magical Years presentation in the Opera House. We had a snack on the train platform and watched the fireworks from there, plus we got a neat pin, group photo, souvenir E-ticket booklet and sign our names in a memeory book. Nicole was our tour guide.
If you love Disney either tour will not disappoint. ::MickeyMo

The Ward Kimball is the fifth train to run on the Disneyland railroad track. It is named after the Disney animator. He was also a big train buff and owned several trains on his property.
We took the Walk In Walt's Footsteps tour in July 2004. It was just after it was revamped. The tour layout was interesting but our tour guide was AWFUL!! Don't get me started!! We got to see the lobby of Club 33 and touch one of the flowers from the Tiki Room, which was really, really cool.
Have fun!
