I would love to know what the 3 bedroom grand villas are like? Are they worth the number of points that they cost? How roomy is it? Are the second and third bedrooms the same size as a studio? Are all 6 grand villas a Boardwalk veiw? Do you need to call MS every day at the 11 month window to reserve? Will it be tough to get?

Thanks all!:D

We stayed in one and LOVED it!

I will try and answer some of your questions:
All the GV do overlook the boardwalk. It was in the building with the white pillars. It was wonderful watching the fireworks and all the activities on the bw every night.

We stayed in Oct. and did call every day to reserve the room.

Some units are 1 floor and some are 2 story. We stayed in a 2 story. The 2 story had the MB on the main floor and the 2 bedrooms upstairs. The upstair rooms were each like a studio. We had plenty of room!

We stayed in a handicapped GV at BWV and it has 1 floor. The 2 other bedrooms are nice size and plenty of room. It is very nice and though not as much room as a GV at OKW, it has lots of room. We did like facing the boardwalk. We enjoyed the evenings watching the activities.

We stayed in the 2 story GV about 3 years ago. Our balcony looked out over the Board Walk and I believe all of the GV have that view though I'm not 100% sure.

I never saw the one story so I can't comment on that. The 2 story is really nice but not as spacious as the GV's at OKW.

I had one really big problem with the layout. The masterbedroom is on the first floor and in order to get to the bathroom (shower, etc) you must exit the room and cross a small hallway. If anyone is in the kitchen, dining or living area they can see this. I prefer the OKW master bedroom layout.

Is it worth it? That's an individual call. We were 12 people-all over 18 (some way over) and we enjoyed staying together. Everyone loved the location but if we're going to use a GV again it will probably be at OKW.

We're thinking of staying in a GV with my in-laws next year. Their home resort is OKW and we have stayed in the GV there before. Are the GVs at Boardwalk noisy at all because they overlook the Boardwalk? Is the kitchen area the same size as in a 1 or 2 BR or is it larger? Will it be hard to get one the week after Thanksgiving?

I don't understand the high point cost for the GV at BWV. It takes more than twice the cost of a 2-bedroom (all seasons.) The OKW GV point schedule seems to be more logical. Could it be the guaranteed Boardwalk view?

I'm sure a lot of it does have to do with the LOCATION! We have not stayed at OKW and I know a lot of people love it but for us part of the fun is staying close to the action. My kids LOVED being able to watch the fireworks every night from the balcony. Some nights we could see the MK and Epcot fireworks at the same time. They also liked watching the boats and the people.

Is it worth it? I think we really enjoyed splurging once. We had extra points because of the sign-up bonus that we had to use so we tried the GV. I believe it was the lowest point value time of year when we went.

Do you think it will be tough to ge one at the end of August (2004)??? they sound great! there will be 10 of us and we would like to stay together...I think the high points will be worth it for us.:D

for sure. You didn't say where your home resort is. There are more GV at OKW so at 11 months it is rather easy. At BWV you may want to do it day by day at 11 months. With 10 people, the GV will be very nice for you. We don't hardly ever have 12 but love the room in a GV. We are booked for Sept at OKW in a GV. Right now there are only 6 going with probably 2 more. We can always round up someone who wants to go, so we would rather have more room than less.

The difference in the points is because of the location which is fabulous combined with the luxury of the GV and the deluxe resort amenities offered to it's guets. It is a deluxe vacation accomendation that is pretty hard to beat. All the GV at BWV have boardwalk views.
Having said that, do I think they are worth the pts......No. Not unless I had pts to burn and did not care, and that is not likely to happen with the # of trips per yr I go to WDW! LOL! And this is coming from a true BWV die hard fan, LOL! I would go with two 2 BR units and use the pts saved for another trip! Just MHO.

. . . the luxury of the GV and the deluxe resort amenities offered . . .
What are the additional amenities of the BWV GVs over preferred BWV 1 and 2 bedroom units (other than guaranteed Boardwalk view)?

Haven't stayed in one yet but did book one for President's week in 2004. I called every day at the 11 month mark.
