Hi all!
I now have 2 disney vacations booked, one for Disney Wonder in January and one for Disneyland in June. My question for you all though is has anyone ever stayed at the Tropicanna Inn before? If you would be kind enough to tell me about it that would be greatly appreciated as I have never been west of the rockies before in my life.
Thanks,
Minnesota

http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/DisneylandLinkMap.htmlOver the years from 1965-present I have stayed at the Tropicana a few times. We had 3 places we would stay. Two of them are gone now. It was always fine. The last time I stayed was in 1994. After that I started trying other places and found places I liked better. The Tropicana is a large motel with mostly exterior corridors. It is mostly 2-3 stories with a small 5 story section. The rooms are basic and average. It has a decent sized pool in the middle of the parking lot and a hot tob too. They are currently remodeling the lobby. The location is great and is just a few steps to the stoplight where you cross Harbor Blvd. Over to Disneyland. Here are a couple maps.

Hey, those were great aerial shots of DLR! You know what I noticed from the pictures? That DL is a lot "greener" than DCA. I thought DCA was supposed to be the "back to nature" park. I know that DL has had more time for it's greenery to grow in, but DCA doesn't even come close. When we bought our new house, one of the MAJOR expenses we had was landscaping. I couldn't believe what the final bill for all of it ended up to be. Maybe DCA needs more landscaping to give it a warmer feel? Didn't people complain that it felt to "concrete"?

Anyway, just an observation.
