Has anyone ever rented towels?

We are going on vacation this year to the beach and renting a condo. The only condo I could afford does not come with linens. I don't mind bringing my own, but there is no washer and dryer in the condo and the thought of wasting beach time :cool2: standing by a washer and dryer does not thrill me.

Has anyone ever rented towels? I've heard of such places but I don't know how it works. Do you rent enough towels for everyone for the entire week? Is the price per towel or what? :confused3

Could you just go to walmart or similar and buy a few cheap ones for everybody? I'm thinking you are talking about beach towels, not bath towels. ?

No, I'm talking about bath towels. The condo we are renting does not have linens (sheets and towels). It has bedspreads, pillows and kitchen towels though. We have rented a different condo quite some time ago and it was the same situation, but it had a washer and dryer right in the condo so I could throw a load of towels in the dryer when needed, but this one's washer and dryer are coin operated and out in the hallway. :headache:

When we rented a house in Pawley's Island a few years ago, we rented linens. We rented the linens from the same property management company that we rented the house from. They had a couple of different packages to choose from, but they all included 1 set of bed linens for each bed in the house, dish towels and dish cloth, and at least 1 set of towels (bath, hand, washcloth) for each person. I know that one package included the beds already being made, one might have had extra towels, and one was just the linens and towels in a basket--you made the beds yourself. We picked up our basket of linens and towels when we checked in and brought them back to the office and put them in dirty laundry carts when we checked out. We were lucky enough to have a washer/dryer so one set was plenty for each person.

Have you checked with the rental company (if not doing VRBO) or have you searched for any vacation supply companies in the area. Most beach areas have companies that supply baby equipment and linens for rental.
