We are looking for a hotel near WDW for 1 night 7/4 so we can get a good headstart the morning of our check in date for 7/5. We are staying at the All-Star Movies 7/5-7/11 preferred. I looked at WDW website today and can get a one night stay at the movies for 125.00 preferred total. Do you think it would be a good idea to just do this..We could just swim and walk around resort, take pictures and things like that. What are the chances that when we check in on 7/5 we might get the same room? I'm not real sure how these things work..Thanks

Call. You can add the room to your existing reservation. No muss. No fuss.

I guess i should also put that we have the dining plan for our package and didn't know if that is the way we should go.

We arrived at about 3:30 at the Sanford Airport, so by the time we were checked in, we grabbed a counter service with the dining plan and headed to MK to see Spectromagic and Wishes. That extra night gave us the opportunity to book a 2 credit table service later in the week. This worked well for us...

WE also added a night when we went in December. We made a late TS at the Sci-Fi and afterward went thru the Osbourne lights when there was NO crowds! We used the extra CS later in the week for breakfast at the resort. All in all it was a great start to the week. We were tired because we arrived late in the day but knew we didn't have to rush through a park. We hung around the hotel and explored and later rode the 5 minutes on Disney transportation to MGM for our late TS. Worked out great for my family after a LONG road trip.
