Has anyone ever needed a "receipt" when staying on points?

Occasionally DH attends a conference when we vacation at Disney, so he is eligible to have accommodations reimbursed when he turns in receipts. Two years ago we stayed in a 2-bedroom lockoff at BWV and on the morning of our check-out we received 2 itemized receipts under our doors, one for the 1-bedroom and the other for the studio. Because we stayed on points, the charges were "zeroed out", but we still had the paper proving we'd stayed there and what the charges would have been if paid in cash. Last week we stayed in a dedicated 2-bedroom at BCV. I knew that we wouldn't have the charges broken down in the same way that they could for the lockoff, but they told us that there was no way that they could generate any receipt, even for the 2-bedroom, because we had stayed on points. DH spoke with 3 different cast members at the front desk and all told him the same thing. So all we have is the 2004 Room Rate Information sheet of paper as proof of what that studio for DH would have cost had he paid cash. Has anyone ever run into this problem before?

I'd save my points for another trip and let my employer pay for that one.

That was my thought too, Deb. I would never "waste" points on a business trip.

The only time I've ever had room $ amounts showing on the itemized statement was when I had member cash nights reserved through member services. I've never had that with points stays.

With my company, you have to charge rooms to your corporate credit card and they credit the card when you turn in the receipts. No way would they reimburse money directly for something you didn't actually pay out.

With family schedules and other obligations, it's hard to get down more than a couple times a year, so saving points isn't a big concern right now and DH really doesn't mind spending from 8 - noon in meetings. Small clinic, no company credit card, and they know it is DVC. They're perfectly willing to reimburse - they just want some documentation.
