Has anyone ever made marble magnets?

I was reading the craft forums at organized christmas this morning and saw where some of the people were making marble magnets. They look really cute and I think my girls (10 anbd 11) would enjoy making some. My 11 year old is always looking for something else to put in her locker at school. They look really easy to do, but I was wondering if anyone has made these before and has any advice?

I've made them before, with the directions from that site, actually. As long as you've got the right glue, you're good to go.

If you're going to let your girls make them, I would definitely do it with them, because the X-Acto knife and the glue/toothpick method can get a little tricky.

I made a pin with them. I just used Arlene's glue. Then framed it with polamar clay, baked it and glued on a pin closure. I just printed out some clip art on my color printer.

DD and I made these for DH for Father's Day one year, only we made them with tacks on the back to use on his bulletin board. We used tiny pictures cut from golf magazines.

SoonerKate is right, make sure you've got the right glue because ours didn't hold up too long (that is the glue we used to adhere the marbles to the tacks)

Well, we made some. And then we made some more. They turned out really cute. We made a bunch of Christmas ones, but have plans to make others.

I was flipping through my Family Fun magazine that came yesterday, and that was actually one of the projects they had in there. They said to use tacky glue, I believe. I wouldn't think that would work as well, but may be worth a shot.

We used silicone on ours and they turned out great.
