Blech - no thanks???

I can't be the only one that has used pictures as deciding factors about where NOT to go or what NOT to order?

For me, I'd have to say that many of the pics I saw from 50's PTC and Mama Melrose steered me away. Anyone else willing to 'fess up?

I'll agree - some of the pictures do not make food look that great. I saw a photo of a taco salad from someone's trip - and it really did not look good!

However - I would tell you to still give Prime Time a go! It's really really really good!!!

Usually not, although pics of fish are of no interest to me b/c I'm not a fish eater.

Most of the time, they make me want to go to WDW and eat even more!

Definitely! I just told my DH the other day that looking at the well done steaks is making me aware of the fact that I really don't like meat anymore. Some of them really look awful. The desserts, OTOH, always look delicious. :teeth:

I agree about most of the desserts. I mean, can chocolate EVER really look bad?

I saw a picture once of a mauled Turkey Leg which seriously made me chuck.

I'm not against Turkey Legs but this one picture looked like it had been attacked by Vultures,

Pictures of entrees generally disgust me for some reason. If the pictures are well-done professional jobs, it usually doesn't bother me, but for some reason a snap from somebody's Kodak digital camera just grosses me out. I'm usually okay with pictures of desserts.

I'm that way when I see pictures of mounds of food on someone's plate--say, at a buffet restaurant.

Of course, I have that reaction in real life too . . .

Yes I have too! Most of them have been Boma dinner but we are going to try it in Oct because the breakfast was soooo good that I am sure dinner will be to!

Just looking at the turkey leg turns me green! ::yes::

Loved your pics from Boma breakfast!! Dinner is just as amazing ~ it's always a must do for us!

Photographing food is an art. I appreciate that most the pics Dis-ers post are done with inexpensive cameras and not shot by the staff of Gourmet magazine. That's ok, and we do get an idea of what the dishes look like.
Disney generally is very good at presentation, so I think one can assume that there is a good chance the actual item will look even more appetizing in person.:earsboy:

The very rare meats just make my tummy rollllllll........ugh! I cannot eat beef unless it is cooked .

I really find the plates of jumbled-up buffet foods to be unappetizing. I also don't enjoy the pics of half-eaten food. It looks great plated, but once you dig in, not so much.

I think the pictures of Boma dinner generally looks pretty gross.
But I want to know what all the fuss is about so I think we are going
to try it! We won't know unless we try it!

I think I am in the "No turkey leg" camp.
It wasn't any pic in particular. I just only eat the white meat when I have turkey.. so the pink leg isn't appealing to me at all.

Yes! I can't stand to look at pics of buffet plates where there are just piles of food all getting mixed and smushed together! (insert gagging smilie)
Also, I am not a red meat lover and pics of big juicy steaks tend to make me scroll to the next pic pretty fast.
Just bring on the desert pics - I find nothing offensive there!

Not a big fan of buffet plate pics where the food is just kind of haphazardly slopped onto the plate, sometimes half eaten. :scared: Sorry, but I don't need to see that.
