I am staying at SSR right now on my points, well I decided to get a cash ressie for Fri. I got a better rate through my AP, instead of DVC. Anyway, I called the front desk here at SSR, & asked them if they could make a note so I would not have to switch rooms. I am in a 1 bdrm, & I paid for a 1 bdrm on Friday. Well they told me that they had to see availability, & they would not know if I had to move rooms until Friday. Has anyone ever had to move to a different 1 bedroom before?

Don't know if things are still the same.... I only paid cash for a weekend night once a long time ago, but when I made the reservation I made the entire ressie through MS. I asked them to "link" the reservations so I wouldn't have to change rooms, this is what they did and I didn't have to change rooms.

It is very possible that you may have to change rooms when you are booking part of your stay through CRO. At the very least you will have to check out and then check back in that day. Rooms can be linked when you reserve the cash portion through MS ensuring that you will not have to move. So you will save some $$ booking the AP rate through CRO but may have to be "homeless" for the good part of a day.

That stinks :guilty: . I did not realize that, oh well I guess I am still in Disney right :beach: We may just switch to the Poly, if we have to switch rooms for a different scene.

we will be at BCV in March and the first two nights of our trip we paid with cash. We too had them link the reservations and were told we would not have to change rooms.

They let me stay in the same room, so thankfully we did not have to move. We actually added another night, because I just could not leave :guilty:

Good for you. You're very lucky that you can just extend right then and there!

I know I was very excited about that. The building we were in at SSR, really seemed empty towards the weekend. I think there was maybe 3 other cars in the parking lot.

Wow, it is such a beautiful resort, enjoy the solitude! We like to eat at Fultons and I love it when we have a window seat overlooking SSR on a sunny day.
