has anyone ever had their flight changed by the airline?

We usually fly SWA or American and never have issues. I'd rather pay a little more than deal with the constant changes.
Southwest doesn't allow you to book ahead of time early enough for you to encounter too many schedule changes. American does have schedule changes, if you book early, so perhaps you've been lucky. Paying a little more won't help with this: What would help is buying airline tickets a little later (living with the uncertainty about what airfare will be available at that late date).

we are flying AirTran this year and they have already changed our flight 3 times now, so I have made it a habit of checking their website to see if there are any new changes. They have been in my favor though, less time on a layover in Atlanta, went from 4 down to 2 hours- woohoo!!!!!!!! I have checked out their planes, they are the big 737's, bigger than the ones Delta flies out of Buffalo, more room for my family of 4.

more room for my family of 4
I haven't flown AirTran, so I don't know what this means. Is there really more room for each passenger on-board? :confused3
