I’m torn as we are away for Christmas and I’m darned if I’m taking Santa gifts to and from .
Has anyone ever had Santa come early. We are going to have turkey Sunday am and now I’m debating just doing it all on Sunday. I could do it after it the that leaves my friend who was kind enough to feed the cat left to doing all the work before we get home ?
When we get home it will be busy getting big kid ready to move and whatnot..
thoughts anyone ? Thanks

We went for Christmas one year and I got all the presents etc. prepared the night before and put in a closet. Then when we were about to leave, had the kids and DH go out first, quickly put the Santa stuff under the tree (Santa brings one gift and fills stockings in our house), then I locked up the house and we went. So it appeared Santa came while we were gone. I took small stockings with a few treats with us and put them out in the hotel room for Christmas morning.

I did something similar one year. We went to Maui and the kids brought stockings which were filled on Christmas morning when they woke up.
Then the gifts were under the tree when we got home.

Yes, when our DD was young. We did it for about for about 16 years. She believed until she looked up Santa in the encyclopedia at the age of 7. We continued doing early Christmas. We went to relatives for Christmas and I wasn’t lugging everytjhing. We arranged for Santa to come about a week early. My daughter loved it. She had 5 gift giving ocassions - Home, each grandparents, my sister and my DH’s Aunt and Uncle.

How old are they?
If young enough I'd just do it after busy or not. How long does it really take to open gifts???
If you feel they are old enough then let the cat out of the bag but be sure to give a history lesson that will hopefully show them that there was a real Santa and now we make his spirit live on.
