Has anyone ever had problems with Disney gift cards from Target?

Yes. I bought them at the store. They said there was nothing they could do. I was shocked. It is weird though that the receipt showed them all as activated (I think I had purchased 4 on that receipt) but that is the only one that didn't truly get activated. It showed I paid $50 for it though.

I haven't had a problem with mine so far. I've made two payments on my balance with gift cards so far. BUT, I always make sure to check the receipt after I've checked out, but before I've left the store (I just kind of pull my cart over to the side and out of the way) to make sure all the cards I've bought (the most I've bought at a time is 5) are listed on the receipt and that it says "activated." And I keep the receipt that goes with each card, just in case. If it's on the receipt, but not activated, I would definitely take it to the store and talk to the manager. I can't believe there's NOTHING they could do. It's not like you can fake the card not working. Either it's activated or it isn't. Good luck!

UPDATE!! The Disney GC people finally called me back over 10 days after I left a message. Seems that number is a voice mailbox that isn't checked often (I was given the number by the people who answer the phone at the number on the back of the gift cards). Anyway..I emailed her the receipt and a picture of the backs of the GCs that didn't show as activated and it seems like since there had been too many attempts at activating them by the Target people they were locked out. So, now they are unlocked and I get to deal with calling Target again, re explaining all this, plus adding the new Disney unlocked them info and they are supposed to be able to activate them. Don't know why Disney couldn't after they unlocked them, but I'm shuffled back to a Target nightmare.

Maybe I'm captain obvious here but I when you go to pay for your trip online, you CAN pay for it with Disney gift cards?

You can use Disney gift cards to pay for your trip online. Much easier than reading #s over the phone.
