Has anyone ever gotten a towel animal at a value resort

Yes - we did - numerous times. At ASMovies, ASMusic and Pop Century.

Actually, the *only* time I've ever gotten towel animals is at Pop Century! We've always stayed at deluxes, but had to stay at a value in order to get a coveted towel animal.

Yes, it does happen. There doesn't seem to be much relation between how much you pay for your room and towel animals. We've gotten maybe two ever, and we've averaged 5-10 nights in deluxe resorts each year for going on a decade now (not including DVC stays!). We've never gotten them in our DVC units. We've travelled with and without kids. It seems to be luck of the draw with your housekeeper and if they know how to and have the time to make them.

Yes, we have. In fact the value resorts are the only place towel animals were ever left for us.

We have. We just returned from POP on Monday and most of the rooms had a washcloth towel ghost and a pumpkin (made with a washcloth and a roll of toilet tissue) in the windows. Very cute. We have received them other times at Value resorts too.

Never! But then again we have never gotten them at the YC either. Even when we tipped.

Yep! Other than a facecloth critter toothbrush holder at the Poly, values are the only places weve gotten animals.

At ASMO we have gotten similar to what we got at the Poly, a face cloth design to hold our toothbruses. At ASSP this past July we had 2 rooms and came back 1 night to find these guys...the first in our room and the second in my mothers.

Yes - We stayed at PoP in December and every night when we came back from the parks we would find a different animal. I do not know if my leaving a tip every day helped.

I do'nt think tipping has anything to do with it either--people who always tip report never getting them (myself included) while people who have stated that they do not tip have also said they get them.

We got a toothbrush holder thingy at GF
& window displays made of our stuffed animals and army men in the window at ASMovies.

We had a towel animal every night at All Star Sports (2001). Our housekeeper also arranged DD's stuffed animals to greet her when we came back! Each evening dd(5 at the time) would write a little note to the housekeeper on our tip envelope, each evening she had a cute note in return. On our last day we finally met the housekeeper (Michelle). She had a beanie Minnie for dd and taught her to make a washcloth bunny. This was a real highlight for my daughter and we are hoping that Michelle is still at the All Star Sports on our upcoming trip! Magic I tell ya, lots of laughs, but it is these kinds of things that are so memorable and make Disney so magical!

Stayed at the Contemporary in August for 9 days and never received one. We were always on the lookout only to be disappointed each day.

We did one day at AS Sports. It was a little duck toothbrush holder, with stickers for eyes. It was cute! They tucked in my teddy bear on the bed every day when they made the bed too.

Yes, I'm 25 and I have a teddy bear.

We stayed at ASsp and we got about 4 in the length of 9 days.

We did not get any at ASMovies but did at AKL. At both resorts, mousekeeping arranged the kids' animals too. Our favorite was when we came back to the room at AKL to find DS's toy dinosaurs and a Pooh I bought gathered around the open room service menu. Our telephone was placed on the bed beside them, and Pooh had his paw on the number keys like he was ready to dial room service.

We were at Pop Centruy in March and got several throughout the week. My parents also got some in their room. We did leave a tip each day for the Mousekeeper so that may have helped.

We also noticed that many rooms had displays set up by Mousekeeping in their windows with the toys/stuffed animals of the kids staying there.

We recently stayed at POFQ, and our housekeeper left a little towel bird and a towel toothbrush holder. Also, on a couple of days, she arranged my son's stuffed animals on the bed.

I didn't expect it, as I know one always doesn't get them, but I was so surprised and happy that we did!

We stayed at All-Stars in 2002 and 2003, and mousekeeping was always doing cute things with DS's stuffed animals. One time they pushed a chair up to the window and had the animals peeking out under the curtain, watching for us to return. Another time they were all sitting together on the bed with the remote in paw watching tv! It just cracked us up!

The only resort we've ever gotten them was AllStarMusic. Mousekeeping also rearranged dd's stuffed animals almost every day. We tip the same way at every resort, we are really very neat so there isn't too much actual 'work' to do but ASMu is the only place so far. Seems to be that the value resorts have a higher incidence of towel animals/animal arrangements than the other resorts. Could this be due to the resort attracting so many families and kids?
