Has anyone ever got Hopper passes to eat in Epcot more?

We are going in Oct, 2010 and staying in BC resort. We usually get MYW tickets but may opt to get hoppers so we can go to Epcot more often and eat in more of the restaurants there since the selection is better. There are not many TS restaurants inside MK, HS or AK, so I was thinking of making most of our dinner ressies inside Epcot and eating there. Epcot is only a 5 min. walk from the BC. It will cost me around $200 more for the hoppers (2 adults, 2 children and 1 infant (free). Any ideas? Figure this way we could go to LeCellier twice, Coral Reef, Tappan Edo, Nine Dragons and Tutto. Thanks, Linda

We do! That isn't the only reason we get Park Hoppers but it is one of the big reasons why we do.

YES,

Last year we ate at
Beirgarten, Le Cellier, Tepponedo, Tokeyo Dining, and the Rose and Crown. We didn't do any ts at HS and we did Tusker house breakfast at AK (crystal Palace at MK).

We're staying at Beach Club so we have easy access to the WS. I wanted to buy APs so that we could eat in Epcot every night. DH vetod that idea.

We do too!!

We get park hoppers just so we can go to EPCOT each night. We agree-we feel the variety of restaurants is far better than any other park. Plus, we love shopping around WS, esp Mitsukoshi!

It seems we always end our nights at EPCOT since we stay at the Swan or DOlphin. It is so nice to leisurely walk around WS, shop, eat, get a drink and finish off with a great DESSERT! :cloud9:

I am considering it for the very same reason! The sit down places at DS and AK don't appeal to me as much!
have a great trip!

We have AP's so we can "hop" anytime we want. Another advantage of being able to hop (besides the dining flexibility) is that you can spend a morning/afternoon at AK and then head for Epcot that night to catch Illuminations.

But, if all you are concerned about is dining options, don't forget that there are some very good restaurants in the resorts. You can go to any of them without having to worry about having park hoppers. :teacher:

That's the only reason we hopped last year. But we only did it once, so we WERE going to try it with base tickets for 2010 ... back when our trip was going to be in January. Now that we're going during F&W, I'm thinking we'll want hoppers!

We have been to WDW 6 times and have gotten the Park Hopper option everytime. Not only is it great for dining but we like it for our touring as well. We start early in the parks and it makes a nice break to head back to the resort for a swim and then to a different park for dinner or a few attractions. Plus we never stay in AK past 2 so we often head to DHS the same day and try to catch Fantasmic.

Mostly for the eating but also for the having the options of all the parks each day.

This was the deciding factor for us too! Also staying at BWV or BC, you can walk through Epcot n take monorail to MK. Hit Soarin, the head to MK by 10 AM. Back to Epcot for dinner in World Showcase. Epcot for sure has best dinners.

Hm..

Interesting that you ask... I NEVER get park hoppers..but got them for our next visit....just SO we could eat at Le Cellier one night.

DS won't let me stray from our Teppan Edo "Tradition" so I figured that was the only way I would get to try Le Cellier...

We're staying (Fourth time) at BC...

Hey - PP - is it actually faster to walk through EPCOT to Monorail to MK?

WE used to always take the bus...never remember it being long...but hey - I'm always looking to save time !

If you take the bus you are dropped off right at the MK entrance bus stop. If you take the monorail from Epcot you stop at the TTC and then have to transfer to the MK or Resort monorail and make that extra trip or else take the ferry. I can't imagine the monorail would save you time, but I've not tried it myself... it just seems the direct drop off would be the better option unless you had a reason to hit one of the monorail resorts for a meal or sightseeing.

YEP! The only reason that we're adding the hopper to DH's ticket is for our various meals in Epcot. He doesn't even like the attractions in Epcot very much, but we love quite a few of the restaurants there.
