Has anyone ever explored all the different resorts??

We are staying at AoA and I would love to visit all the MOD and Deluxe Resorts, is that possible? I thought I could take a morning and do this.

Using the busses, this might too much to do in one day. Maybe on your Epcot day, you could go out the International Gateway and check out 5 resorts in one walk around the lake. On your MK day, you could hop on the monorail and get off at three, and take the boat over to the Wilderness Lodge.

Then, if you are going to AK, check out AKL. All are beautiful resorts, and worth seeing at least once. Otherwise, how will you know where you want to stay when you win the lottery!

Do you have a car? It would be incredibly difficult to do without! There are a lot of resorts to visit in one morning. I would narrow it down to say, the Epcot resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan, Dolphin, and Boardwalk) where you could walk to each one. Then the Magic Kingdom resorts (Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Contempory) where you could take the monorail around. You could catch the boat from the Contemporary and see the Wilderness Lodge.

The moderates are more spread out.

There are 5 mods (including the cabins) and 13 deluxe resorts (excluding swolfin). Even with a car you aren't going to be able to do that in a full day, nevermind a morning. You might want to consider spreading this out over several days, as a PP recommended.

I haven't tried to tour all of them in one swoop, but we did make a list one time of resorts that interested us for future stays, and we toured them. We had a car, and went to CSR, all of the All Stars, and CBR. It really helped when we planned the trip after that. We've also visited other resorts by having ADRs at them.

I did an 8 day, no parks, all resorts solo trip a few years ago and it took me all week to do so.


You do realize how many resorts there are and how far apart they are?

I've been at all the resorts and we frequently go just to play at the resorts. I'm not sure I understand how you are going to take a morning to see all the resorts, were there particular ones you wanted to see? How are you travelling? We usually start at the resort we are staying in, like SSR, then head to the poly for breakfast, then take the boat to the GF, then go to DTD for a lunch break. Then we pick another resort "family" to explore for the afternoon and we are dead on our feet when we get back to the room.

I agree with other posters, if you do not have a car it would take up a good part of your day to see just a handful of the MANY Disney resorts.

My plan to see them all is to stay at as many as I can; in my lifetime

There's no way to tour all of the resorts in one morning unless you're just going to drive to each one and maybe take a picture of the sign and entrance. We've visited all the resorts, but it took several mornings (or afternoons) to walk around that many resorts to see the grounds, lobby, gift shops, etc. It was a lot of fun and well worth the time.

You could group the resorts (MK resorts, Epcot resorts, SSR & OKW for example) and that will help, but each group will probably take at least half a day (especially the MK and Epcot resorts).

I can tell you what we have done before. We have taken the friendship boat from DHS before (or can be taken from Epcot as well) and taken the boat trip around to see each of the resorts in that area.

We have also taken the MK monorail to visit all those resorts.

We also book quite a bit of ADRs at resorts and get to see a lot of resorts that way!

It is totally do-able, but not in a morning (just like others have said). We love checking out other resorts and only use Disney transportation. It helps to hit them in groups, and while there are generally no Resort to Resort buses (except WL to FW), you can switch buses at DTD or any park. We hit Port Orleans after Epcot one day by taking a bus to POR, then a boat to POFQ and eventually DTD. Then we were off to another resort from there. Of course it is easy to do the monorail loop, and there is a boat loop between CR, WL, and Fort Wilderness. Enjoy your mission!

We just got back from our trip last night and we took a full day and did this. We had a breakfast at Kona, and we got there by taking a bus from the beach club to the magic kingdom and then the monorail. After our breakfast we looked around the Poly and then the other monorail resorts. Then we said what the heck, and went to the Wilderness Lodge and then the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was such a neat experience and we've fallen in love with the Poly again by just looking around. We had tea at the grand Floridian, and took a sea raycer on the bay lake for an hour. It was nice to take a relax day!

My Mom and me saw the MK resorts in one day, and had dinner at CR, then when on to see the EPCOT resorts. That was all in one full day, morning, noon and night! This was for Christmas time, we took the day out just to visit the resorts that's all we got to see and we were back at our resort at midnight. It was so worth it to see all the resorts decorated, and we used the buses.

We try and visit a different resort every trip for dinner. When we stayed at AKL he had dinner @ GF 1900 flare and one night we hung out at the boardwalk (adults only). In April 2012 we stayed at POR and had dinner at cape may. Which lead to our trip this year .... We book YC (balcony a must) and we want to check out WL so we booked whispering canyon for dinner.

I think it's a good way to get a feel for a resort and not take too much time away from your vacation.

We tried something like this years ago when there were probably half the resorts there are now. It got old real fast. Try visiting a couple of resorts you've never been to, save the rest for next time.

Toured them all, but not in one morning. This is really a nice thing to do if you ever visit during the holidays to see the decorations as well.
