I'm considering getting this done tomorrow. Has anyone ever had it done in a salon? Ever had an allergic reaction, problems with it rubbing off, etc???
I haven't done it personally but my stylist did it and we were talking about it for me for a wedding (wound up not doing it though). He loved it and said they could even put muscle definition in He said it was wonderful for him... I guess it is done similarly to the mystic tan (the stuff used) Wish I could say more but I don't know anything. Good luck
I had it done and it was great. You stand there in your choice of undergarments (they have disposable undies if you don't want to get yours all stained) or nude if you prefer and the lady sprays this tan on you. You then go in to dry.
Wear lose dark colored clothing and avoid having tight shoes, socks, things of that nature and try not to rub against things for as long as possible. And stay dry for 8 hours. It develops into a very nice tan that is very natural and it lasted quite a while on me.
I did this on vacation in Columbia, SC and I do the spray booths at home but I sure would like to find somewhere around where I live that does it because I sure would not hesitate to do it again
I posted a thread about approximately 3 weeks ago. Here is the link. After reading all the responses I decided to use Loreal Sunless Tanning Tinted Bronzing Lotion instead. Good Luck!
I've done this several times. You need to go in for two applications a day or so apart in order for it to be as even as possible. I have trouble with it rubbing off where clothes touch the skin in those first important eight hours. Cobbler is right about wearing dark clothing afterward, because it can stain your clothes, and nothing tight because that's what causes it to rub off. My "tan" lasts about five days before I notice it fading. The salon suggests you re-apply every week, but that gets very expensive. I've thought about going in for just my arms, legs, and face year-round, though. Good luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes!
I've decided to wait until after my vacation, though. See, I've been a regular at Hollywood Tans (I know - slap! slap! slap!). But I haven't been for over a month, due to gall bladder surgery and a host of very strange + yucky stuff afterwards.
I had a reaction (very itchy all over) to self tanners that I used a few years ago and there's a chance I may be allergic to the DHA. Also, I have recently developed a latex allergy (skin only so far). With all of the strange problems with my body, I would be the 1 in a million who develops some kind of an allergic reaction to the spray tan. And, I would not be happy if this happened on our trip - we leave Friday.
So, I'm going all pale and all! I suggest y'all wear sunglasses, 'cause I am a mighty bright white! Hope I don't blind anyone !
I'm going to do a 'test area' when I return from Disney and I'll see what happens. Thanks again!
