Hi Everyone,

We just purchased our first contract :cool1::cool1:and hope to go this summer for about 5 days to use some 2012 points.
I know it will be SUPER hot, so I think we will save some money and just get AP's to the water parks (which cost about the same as one day at MK now) and just do the waterparks, DTD, eat at different resorts, mini-golf, etc . . .
Have any of you done a non-park trip and enjoyed yourselves?

Thanks!

Sounds like a fun idea! If you think your family can Handle being so close to The parks, yet not visiting them.. Then I say go for it!

Funny, I am booking almost that same thing today. Going to go early August for 3 nights/ 4 days. Plan on doing 2 water park days, and pools on the travel days. Have AP's so might pop into a park one day....

We've done an "all waterparks & more" trip more than once, the "& more" being things other than the 4 main WDW theme parks.

IMHO, it really comes down to how familiar you are with the theme parks.

If they seem like old hat to you, then skipping them and enjoying everything else is a lot of fun.

If the theme parks are going to be tugging at you the entire trip, then it will be a real drag on your vacation.
