Has anyone ever cancelled a trip and then got a PIN code offer to re-book it?

We probably have to cancel our Nov trip and go in spring 2013 instead. I'm REALLY hoping that we might get a PIN to try to lure us back in. Anyone experience this?

not really BUT I cancelled my brother trip and he got a PIN the next day

We have. Back in 2009 I booked a trip for October 2010. A couple of months after booking the trip we decided not to go and I called to cancel. Lo and behold, a couple of weeks later I got a 40% PIN code via e-mail. We ended up going on the October 2010 trip afterall.

That said, we've booked and cancelled trips since then and didn't get a PIN.

Wow that would be nice do remember if the dates included the black out dates You can tell I'm getting desperate ! Now I'm thinking of canceling my vacations in hopes of getting a pin.

Unfortunately I don't remember the dates that were in the PIN e-mail. I was so surprised when I received the e-mail; it was the first (and so far only!) PIN offer we've received. I almost felt like Charlie from Willie Wonka when he opens the candy bar and has a golden ticket.

But, like I mentioned in my previous post, we've booked and cancelled trips since then and haven't gotten another PIN. I'd love to go back to WDW this October but paying rack rate for the resort + crazy high airfare = no trip for us this year!

I had to cancel my trip in December 2010 due to an injury my wife suffered just 2 days before we were scheduled to go. We did not receive a PIN. I actually had a PIN applied to that stay (30% off room) and tried to get them to give me the same discount when I rebooked for the following year, but no luck.
