I would like to find out if people have been turned away from receiving a ready room when they check in. Also, this must be a NON DVC resort room. Dvc rooms are Old Key West, Boardwalk villas(not the inn), Wilderness Lodge Villas(not the lodge), Beach Club Villas(not the regular Beach Club) Base your answer on ANY resort room other than these please.

If we take the early flight, we usually arrive around 1:00. Our room was not ready at GF (second time), BC, CBR, Dixie. Was ready at GF (first time), Poly, CSR (at 8:30am!). I remember at CBR they said our assigned room met our requests but was not ready, they checked for any ready rooms but they did not meet our requests so we waited until 3:00. One time at BC, we checked in after a convention had just checked out, they could not find us a clean room until about 4:30. The front desk cm actually went to our assigned room to check the status and they hadn't even started yet! So she found us another room, it did not meet our requests, but we just wanted a room at that point.

We had arrived at the Poly at about noon and the room was not ready so we headed to MK and got our AP's and went into the park for a few hours. On our next trip we got in at the same time, maybe a little earlier and our room at ASMu was ready. Our last trip we stayed at AKL concierge. We arrived by 11:00 am and the rooms (we had 2) were ready. One of the rooms was a handicapped ready room ( sorry if that wasn't PC).

We have only rec'd our room before 10 am once.

Usually we check in about 7am and then go to the parks. About noon we call the hotel and get our room #. The resorts give you a phone # to call.

Twice we checked in after 1 pm and the room was ready both times.

Since stated check-in time is "after 3pm" we do not expect our room to be ready when we arrive. We tend to arrive between 11am and 2pm depending on our flights. Sometimes we have gotten our rooms early and sometimes we have not. Just like room requests getting into your room before 3pm is hit or miss. We consider it to just be good luck if we get into our room before 3pm.

Last year we stayed at the Treehouses at the Disney Institute. We checked in around 10:00 with no problems. We had originally requested to be closer to the bus stop, but decided we didn't want to wait for that!

Several years ago Dh and I checked into POFQ around 9:30 in the morning. No problems here either!:D

I've never had to wait for a room. We've arrived at all times of the day and night, visited at some very busy times of the year, and not-so busy times, stayed at the All Stars to the Dolphin/Swan to the Disney Institute... never had to wait. As a side, this is also true when we've stayed offsite.

but not anymore, as I put in my fax that I will be arriving around 12:00 noon and its always ready!;) I had to wait in 1996 and 1997 till 5:00pm, we just went to the park and would come back after the park closed.;)

Yes, but you don't have multiple answers available in your poll, so I can't participate... but we have been told our rooms were not ready 2 times at a checkin at 7:30 am, and once at a checkin at 10:30 am. We weren't expecting them to be anyway!

Once we have been able to get into our room at 7:30 am... back in 1993 at Dixie Landings, and once at 11 am at the Contemporary at 11 am. We have only ever checked into a Disney Resort after 3 pm, and we got into our room with no problem. That was in May of 2001 at the Caribbean.

At the Beach Club, we have never received our room before 4PM. At the GF, we once had our room ready at 12 noon but overall it is usually after 3PM. At the Moderates, I've had better luck, I guess b/c they have more rooms?

In general, I guess it all depends on the occupancy the night before.

I won't vote in the poll since our arrival times are usually all over the map, but I will tell you that it was rare that our room was ready at check-in time (any time prior to 3 PM). Usually we didn't get our room until after 3 PM, and a few times, after 4 PM or 5 PM.

Same as above, we have yet to have a room ready before 3:00

We had reserved 2 adjoining rooms at ASMO which were not ready when we arrived mid-afternoon. Since we were not planning to go to a park that day, we weren't sure how to spend the time...there were 6 of us!

We ended up taking the bus to MK, riding the monorail around the resorts, and touring Ft. Wilderness campground.

We arrived at the WL on Fri 11/22 around 2pm. Kept calling the number provided and the room was still not ready at 2:50. Finally after calling every 10 minutes it was ready at 3pm.

We have stayed at the WL three times. Twice we arrived right after lunch and our room was not ready. Each time we stored our luggage went on to the MK and when we returned later on our rooms were ready. Once our luggage had already been taken to our room for us. It was no problem leaving our luggage.

Every Flippin time!!!!!!!!!!!!!in DVC resorts. Last time we checked into PO-FQ we already had a room.

I guess some things are worth waiting for! (2 bdrm usually!)

When I went for my first solo trip in August 2001, I got to the All Star Music (couldn't pass up that $49 per night special they had!:) ) around 2 PM. I was told my room wasn't ready but they would have my luggage delivered to my room and I could take off. Since I like to relax when I first get there I fished my bathing suit out of the luggage and had a wonderfully cool time in the pool. Really made me hungry for O'hana's later!

When we stayed at All Star Music, our room wasn't ready around noon. They took our luggage and gave us a card with a phone number to call from the parks later in the day. When we called later on, they gave us our room number. When we got to our room, our luggage was there waiting for us!

More often than not, I've had to wait for my room including concierge stays.
