Just curious if anyone has been to the outlet stores. I've heard there are two near the parks and was curious if it was worth a trip over there. I just came back from my most recent trip on May 30th and only heard about them after the fact. I would loved to have brought back a few gifts for friends, but it does get pricey! Are the prices reasonable at the outlets and what kind of merchandise is sold at them?

We try to hit them every time we go. You never know what you will find. Sometimes they have the same shirts and stuff that are still in the parks. Usually not all sizes though. I would say to definitely check them out. One of them is pretty close to WDW. Its in the Premium Outlets on Vineland

I have printed the directions to the Vineland one from where we are staying, it is not far, and thinking of heading there on our last day. Our flight is not until 8pm so certainly a possibility. I am interested in opinions on this as well.

I'm assuming you will either need a car or take a taxi? I've never seen Disney Transportation for the outlets.

Love the outlet stores!! We visited both locations in December of 2013 and 2014. There was a mix of discontinued and current merchandise for WDW, DLR, and DCL- everything from Halloween to "dated 2014". There was some overlap, but each store did have unique items. Like any outlet store, be prepared to look through a bunch of stuff, to find something you want.

I bought items at both stores, both years. We saw some of the same items- for example, PotC glow-in-the-dark skeleton hoodies- in the parks for twice as much! If we were going to WDW this year, I would definitely be planning to go back.

We are visiting DLR this year, for the first time. I looked for an Anaheim outlet store, but there are none. The closest is a Disney Store outlet, 90 mins away- we are not renting a car, so unfortunately we will be paying full price for all our Disney merch this year!

Thanks so much for the response! I'm not sure when my next trip will be, but I definitely want to take a look at the outlets. It would be nice to be able to get friends a few items without going completely broke! That's a bummer there aren't any outlets near DLR.

I was able to get the Eeyore pillow/ animal for $9.99 at the parks for over $30. Also got Disney nailpolish for $2 and make-up for a few dollars. I even got the Harvey's denim Mickey backpack for $40, normally $129.

Those are great prices! Thanks for posting them! I've heard there are pins there too, but not sure of the prices or variety.

I've heard they can be as low as $1... For traders that's a steal because you can go in, clear out real pins, and put them in a bag and every time you trade, you just pull out one of your $1 pins and trade it off... Then you're not having to give up the pins you thought were neat and traded for!

That's great! I'm not really a pin trader, I mainly just collect, but that's good to know in case I want to try it out.

I did not see any dollar pins. They were more like 2 to 6 dollars the day we were there. We got some Disney Vera Bradleys there. Some pins glasses and shirts. One tip it does not matter how many of an item they have grab it when you see it. There were several people clearing shelves when we were there.

Where is the second outlet store? I have heard about the outlet at the Premium Outlets on Vineland. I was wondering where the other one is so we could possibly go there before we check in as we are driving down after stopping for night in Georgia.

They're both named Premium outlets, the closest one is called Orlando Vineland premium outlets, this is the closest one to Disney and is located on Vineland ave between I-4 and International drive, between Sea World and Disney. The other one is called Orlando International premium outlets, this one is at the north end of International Drive just north of Universal studios.

Thank you. We will hit up the one on I-drive before we get to the World.

We love poking around there. We've only been to the one by Universal (because we were in that direction anyway), but we always find at least a few things we like for really cheap. It doesn't have everything, that's for sure, but if you don't go up there seeking a specific thing (i.e. "must get an eeyore tshirt for someone") you can be pleasantly surprised. We bought a ton of pins there last time, including a few of the lanyard starter sets for...I'm wanting to say about $12? I know it was more than half off the usual. My partner loves the mystery packs so we got a bunch of those, too, all for about half their usual price because they were older collections/editions. Still not the $1 a few people have found, but good deals. One year we went in January and cleaned out a ton of Christmas stuff from the previous season. If it won't cost you a bunch extra in, say, rental car fees or ubers, it's a nice way to spend a free day/afternoon.
