Has anyone ever been "BOOed"?

OMG! I was putting the girls to bed when all of a sudden we heard this LOUD bam bam bam! coming from downstairs. My first thought was the cats knocked something over. My second thought was that someone was trying to get to the house ! Then, I wondered if maybe someone was knocking on the door. Crept downstairs and peeped out of the peephole.. didn't see anything. Looked out the front window... nada. Opened the door to find two goody bags sitting on the welcome mat, along withe a paper saying this:

HALLOWEEN PHANTOM GHOST
Good Evennnnnning!
The "Phantom Ghost" has come to town
To leave you some goodies, I see you have found.
If you do not wish a curse to fall,
Continue this greeting, this "Phantom" call.

First post this "Phantom" where it can be seen,
And leave it there until Halloween.
This will scare other "Phantoms" who may visit,
Be sure to participate, don't be a "fis-bidget."

Second, make two treats, two Phantoms, and two notes like this,
Deliver them to two friends who may have been missed.
Don't let them see you, be sneaky, no doubt...
And make sure they put their Phantom Ghost out!

Next, you have only ONE DAY to act, so be quick!
Leave it at doors where the "Phantom" hasn't hit.
Deliver at dark, when there is no light
Ring the doorbell, run, and stay out of sight!!!

And last, but not least, come join in the season.
Don't worry, be happy-you need no reason.
Be cool, have fun, and remember don't be seen-
SHARE IN THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!

So along with this note, is another paper with the words BOO really big, and a ghost. You are supposed to hang this in your window/on your door, so it is known that you got booed! LOL The girls thought this was the best thing in the world! Very cool, indeed.

That is so cool! No, I've never been Boo'ed.

But once, when DD was little, she was staying at my mom's house. They were reading a book in front of a big picture window, and all of a sudden - some jerk in a "Scream" mask stuck his face in the window.

That freaked my DD out for YEARS. That wasn't a very happy Boo experience, but I'm glad yours was.

Yes, we BOO in our subdivision every year. My kids get such a kick out of it. We haven't been BOO'd yet, but it will be coming soon!

LOL! The hosts on a local radio station today were just talking about this. I had never heard of it until this afternoon! The lady co-host that was "BOOed" yesterday was lol at her mother. Her mother thought the whole thing was "creepy" and she thought the "BOOer" would probably be hiding in the bushes waiting on her!

YES!!! And it actually scared the crap out of me....it was the Halloween right after 9-11 and I never heard of it before! A friend on the next street "boo'd" us....and it was in a plain brown paper bag on the porch...I wouldn't go near it and was ready to call the cops!! LOL!!!,,,,my friend had to come out of hiding from the neighbors to put me at ease!!!

We have the phantom roaming through our neighborhood. Ours was there when I woke up in the morning. We delivered ours late at night as well - the point was not to get caught!

Yes, not only have we been "booed" but a couple of friends of my 14 year-old son "POOed" us the other night .......
but luckily, it was fake (they put a mixture of grey poupon and applesauce on a diaper).
My kids thought it was real and threw the bag outside.
A few minutes later the same girls "booed" or "ghosted" us with a bag of candy and a note saying "sorry about the poop, we were jusk kidding and we luv ya".

No, but we left our infant son in his car seat on our dear neighbors' porch. We rang the doorbell and hid. They still talk about it 10 years later. He was the youngest trick-or-treater they ever had.

I need to start this in our neighborhood, but I guess it is too late this year.
