Has anyone else never had...

I just turned 36 and I still have no cavities! My dentist calls us Aliens. He says it is a love/hate relationship. Loves that he has a patient with no cavities, but hates it because he makes no money from me.

Two of my sisters have never had any cavities...they are 43 and 45. I didn't get the 'no cavity' genes, unfortunately.

Between my me and DM, we've put our dentist's son through Ivy League Law school. He jokes about this but I really think he is serious. :confused3

I do :bitelip:, but my kids are 15 and 11 and they have never had any. They don't have sealants either as they dentist said they don't have "grooves" and don't need them.

My DH is 41 and has never had a cavity. I was 30 before I had one, and from my tag, you can see that I lost my last baby tooth when I was 19.

My DGM never had a cavity. She died when she was 79.

My Mom says it's because of the flouridated (sp?) vitamins that she gave us as kids. While that can be true, I also think it has a lot to do with genes.

38 and not a one.

What about wosdom teeth? I still have all of mine and people seem to find that more surprising than the no cavity thing.

39 and I have mine. DH had is out when he was 35.

Funny thing was his cousin, our dentist, told him not to talk to me after he was coming to. She told him that he'd answer any question I'd ask truthfully for about 4 hours after he woke up. For 4 hours, when I'd ask him how he was doing, all he would do is give me a thumbs up. He refused to talk. Hmm, I wonder what he was hiding. :teeth:

28 and no cavities. Of course I haven't been to a dentist in 5 years so i'm sure I do now. Although upon inspection it doesn't look like it. I do think I have gingivitis though. But no, no cavities!

We had flouride in the water growing up and I still have more cavities than I could count - DB and Dsis as well. Bad teeth runs on both sides of our family and sinus problems caused further issues.

I brush 3 times a day, floss, and use a water pick and I still get them. DH barely brushes once a day and never gets them :confused3

I have a silver mine in my mouth but neither of my children, 16 and 21, have had one cavity. :cool1:

I didn't have a cavity until I was 25. I have had mine filled with tooth colored fillings, so my mouth looks great. Good teeth are really genetic, it has something to do with your saliva. We also use Colgate Total toothpaste, and neither DH nor I have any plaque on our teeth.

Hannah has had one cavity in her baby tooth. A piece of something got stuck down behind one of her molars that I couldn't see, and ended up causing a cavity.

a cavity? Just curious. I am 23 and I have never had a cavity. When people find this out they usually go into shock. :confused3 Is it that uncommon?

I thought I was the only one. I'm 32 - and never had a cavity!

***high five*** to my healthy tooth'd friend! :teeth:

My first cavity was when I was in college and ate waaay too many sweets. Haven't had more than those 2 ever! :teeth:

No cavities until I was 30. Two kids in 2 years wreaked havoc on my teeth. I now have 8 cavities, a crown and really painful wisdom teeth that had to be extracted. :sad2:

i got my first two cavities when i was 19. had them filled and my wisdom teeth out the same month. i moved to colorado and where i lived there was no fluoride added to the water so i got 5 (eek) while i was there. got them filled and was having trouble with them. the dentist told me it was probably nothing. moved back to new mexico and saw my dentist here and found out that the CO dentist put my fillings on top of roots. so i have had two root canals as a result of a bad dentist. and for about two years i have been cavity free again. i agree with the other posters, flouride is a great thing.

40 and wayyyy to many to count!! My DKs (16, 11, 9) haven't had a one. Now I am moving into the crown, bridge, root canal stage....how fun!!
