Has anyone else had difficulty with their DVC membership and MDE?

Like most people on this board, I had a regular disney.com account and a dvcmember.com account. When MDE came out, it wouldn't recognize my DVC membership unless I logged in using that account name. However, now I'm having problems with some reservations (not DVC ressies) showing up under my disney.com account and others showing up under my DVC account. I have only been using the DVC account name because obviously I want to be recognized as a DVC member and have all of that info available on my MDE account. I've manually entered all other reservation confirmation numbers under that account, but they keep disappearing only to appear under the other account.

I'm beyond frustrated. Disney says they can't delete one of my accounts. Really?? :furious: I'm traveling in two months and from what I can tell we'll be forced to use FP+ at that time. I'll have a pretty difficult time doing that if my reservations keep disappearing. (btw -- at this point my main ressie isn't showing up under either account even tho I've entered it numerous times, only some dining ressies are)

I'm going to get on the phone with Disney at some point today. I'll keep you posted.

I don't know if this will help you or not.

I wanted to make some dining reservations using 180 plus 10.

Tried doing it through Disney online reservations and it wouldn't work. So I went to my DVC reservation and used the dining link in my dvc reservation. Although I was logged in on the DVC site, it took me to the regular disney site where I had to log in again. The difference was now it allowed me to to use 180 plus 10 and I could see that reservation.

I can't see my other 4 reservations on MDE, but I really don't care. I figure if I get around to reserving any dining, they'll show up.

Maybe MS can somehow "link" your two accounts. I seem to remember that working for a few posters.

Good luck -and thanks for keeping us updated.

I have my accounts linked.

My room reservations only show up on my DVC site. My dining reservations only show up on MDE.

I haven't linked any tickets yet.

The app shows my room reservations, but doesn't show dining, even though I booked my dining through the app.

I had my Disney account and DVC account under same email, so they linked ok. But, I cold never get MDE on iPad to recognize reservations and family members. I used the PC and did everything there, and now everything I can link up and add dining reservations works in MDE. Hope this helps.

I can sign on to MDE using either my DVC user id or my MDE user id with no problems, I normally only use my MDE user id.

Under my profile, I do have the DVC 'Affiliation'. My DVC room reservations do not automatically appear in MDE, I have to manually link them (no big deal). Once linked, room reservations appear on the MDE website and app.

I make ADRs using my MDE user id and they appear on the MDE website and app with no problem.

My RFID AP is linked to my MDE account and appears on the website and app.

DVC shows the room reservations and MDE shows the dining reservations

They will not link. I have called tech support but they have not fixed. Everytime I try and add the room confirmation number, I get a message saying that t is already assigned to me. But it will just not show up.

They say it has to do with the email but both are the same.

Since My Disney Experience is going to be the end-all-be-all from now on, it's going to trump pretty much everything else out there. It's best to go ahead and bite the bullet now, and get rid of any alternate log-ins you might have floating around out there.

Determine what you want your ONLY Disney account to be from now on. If that's your DVC, you're pretty much done. Sign in to MDE and use your DVC info.

If you currently have two different log-ins... one for MDE and another for DVC... you're going to have nothing but frustration for years to come. So you need to consolidate to just one. I suggest defaulting to your MDE login, since that's what most dining and ticket info will be associated with. Call MS & have them reset your DVC account so you can use your MDE login instead of your old DVC-only login. They'll give you your club ID (this isn't your member number... something different) as well as a new one-time activation code.

Now... go back to the DVC site. Click "no DVC member account," then on the drop down, pick "I already have a Disney account." On the page that pops up, enter your current MDE log-in & password, as well as the Club ID and code that MS gave you.

Now, everything should be all linked up. If you log into DVC with your MDE info (which is now also your DVC info), you'll be able to see all your vacations. Log into MDE, and you'll be marked as a DVC member (just look under your MDE "my profile" near the bottom).

New DVC reservations might not pop up automatically, but if you enter in your reservation number and "claim" them, they should come over without any problem.

By the way... any trips that are already in progress (already made the reservation, linked it to another account, etc) may not be able to make the switch... but anything new going forward should work fine.

Another note, if you're a family who has multiple DVC log-ins or multiple MDE log-ins, that's fine, too. Just repeat this process for every person who has an account. Then, add that person as friend/family, select that they often travel with you, and send an invite to the email address that they use to sign into their MDE account. Once they log-in to MDE and accept the invitation (it's in "notifications" in the MDE drop-down menu that's just underneath the WDW search box), you'll see all of their stuff, and they'll see all of yours. When you make new plans going forward, you can note who will be attending while you're setting them up in MDE. Just make sure you're using the correct one if you have the same person listed multiple times. For instance, my sister was listed three different ways on my MDE account. If I link her over to a reservation, I have to pick the one that actually shows her Disney character, rather than any of them that has just the default Mickey icon. Eventually, once all of my upcoming trips and reservations are over, I can delete all the "ghost" versions of her from my MDE account and only the real one will be left.

Hope this helps out!

Absolutely none, because as I have shared many times, I contacted Member Services and they helped me link my two accounts and since then it has been great.

Love it.

I have one account, one user name, one password. I can book ADRs at 180+ without any problems. All my reservations both resort and dining show up on both and I can print them off. I can buy DVC annual passes from the online ticket options.

When Fastpass+ arrives, I am ready to go.

This helped me quite a bit! I now have one login that works for both DVC and MDE. Thank you.

They say it has to do with the email but both are the same.

Finally got the problem fixed today. It turns out that if the emails do not match and the exact same phone numbers (office or cell) are not listed as primary, the linking does not work. In my case DVC had my office phone listed as the primary and MDE had my cell phone number listed as primary, even though both sites had both numbers. A woman named Janet Summers in Dining figured it out. Now everything is listed on MDE.

Thank you very much for this info. I didn't get around to contacting Disney before you posted, and have decided to take your advice and contact MS on Monday to link the accounts. Keeping my fingers crossed that this works! I do have the same email on both accounts, so that should help.

This whole thing is frustrating. I have two accounts with the same e-mail. But my DVC login is just a username. So, whenever I get invites for MDE, it links to the wrong account (the one that uses the e-mail address as the login).

I've linked just fine, but appear to have 2 MDE accounts. Grrr...

Frustrating I know but don't worry about FP+ you don't need a room ressie for that only park passes.

So, for my promised update, I spoke to MS and got my two accounts linked. That went very smoothly -- apparently they're used to doing this pretty frequently. ;)

My only concern was that none of my upcoming resort reservations showed up under MDE. I have two DVC stays and one regular resort stay on the books at this time. None of them are showing up, although the dining reservations are. I tried to manually enter the confirmation number and got an error message that the reservation was already linked to my account. :confused3 I was quite confused. So I called MS back and was informed that my reservations wouldn't show up, although the info is available to cast members and would also show up when magic bands came out later this year.

Not really sure why that is, but am assuming it's one of the growing pains. The CM I spoke with told me that as long as my dining reservations were showing up all was well.

At least I'm all linked up now. Thanks again, brkgnews, for the assist! :)

Glad it worked for you. As I mentioned, this reservation may be a bit gnarled, but those going forward should be fine.

They say it has to do with the email but both are the same.

Did you try to hit to refresh icon on the MDE website? I've had to do that a couple times. ((I can't remember what they call it refresh or something else?)) but once I hit that everything showed fine.
