Has anyone eaten goat meat?

My dad has always been a farmer-wannabe. All through my life we had chickens or ducks or rabbits, horses, cows, pigs, monkeys, snakes, and goats. Usually these were penned in a small lot (we never owned more than an acre of land).

Fun....anyway.....after we were grown my parents told us we had eaten the goats. We never knew it at the time though.

So I have eaten goat, but since I didn't know it at the time, I suspect I thought it was pork or beef. I hate venison so I think I would have remembered if it tasted like venison (but of course I was probably secretly fed venison half the time as well).

I didn't think much of escargot, BTW. I would have rather eaten a salad as an appetizer, IMHO.

You were just trying to gross me out by eating them. I really enjoyed my salad

We have lots of indian restaurants here that serves goat curry. I love it!!
