Has anyone eaten at Ohana's for dinner?

We love it. It's become a tradition for us to eat here on our first night. I LOVE the scalloped potatoes(sinful!) and the bread pudding with bananas foster sauce is my favorite dessert at WDW. Heck..I never liked bread pudding before that! As far as the meat goes...you get beef(this is my favorite and it would be fine with me if it was the only meat they served!), pork(my second favorite), turkey(dry) and sausage(not so good). I love the atmosphere here! My kids range in age from 3-17 and they all love it!

We tried O'Hana's during our spring trip and thought the food was better than expected--heck, what's not to like about chunk o' meat on the skewer cooked over a fire? And the potatoes and dessert---I've been doing double time on the treadmill for months to atone for the overindulgence! We've even booked a return for October. But here's my beef...no pun intended....the wait staff seems to vary in quality. We had dreadful service in March. We were a party of 4 adults--trying to enjoy an adult beverage--and two teens and the food was simply thrown on the table at pretty much the same time within seconds of being seated and having ordered our cocktails. No appetizer, then salad, then entree and side dishes and lastly dessert. Everything was on the table at once EXCEPT for the dessert. In hindsight, we should have tried to manage the server a bit more to slow the pace of the meal. I hope to have a more relaxed experience in October--though this trip includes a 4 and 1 year old-so I'm not sure "relaxation" will be part of ANY meal>:)

My two youngest would not eat the food there, either, so we asked and were brought whatever we wanted from the kids' menu at Kona. Mine had grilled cheese and chicken fingers. The waitress mentioned an option like this but encouraged us to let the kids try the regular 'Ohana food first, and then if that didn't work out, she'd bring us the alternate choices. I told her I knew my non-vegetable eating vegetarian would not eat anything there, so we wanted the kids' options right away--and it was no problem.

We really liked our food there. The kids' options are charged at the regular menu price, though, which doesn't matter if you're on the DDP but does if you're paying OOP.

My boys enjoyed it when we went in '04 - at that time they were 10, 12 and 15 however they've never been finicky eaters since they weren't accustomed to eating off of kid's menus anyway. I don't think the menu at 'Ohana is that adventurous. Try it, your kids may really like it.:)

It's a fave. My kids have a great time. We find the food pretty darn good.

My husband and I just ate there HE is very picky and he really like O'hana. Now we do not have kids yet - but the kids there always seem to be having fun. They have grilled steak, pork, sausage (that was just ok) and grilled turkey all of which we really liked - We love the salad with honey lime dressing and the potatoes and those wontons with the peanut suace...I am craving it now- and the bread pudding was really good as well!

We ate there this week and loved it! My DS8 and DD5 had fun with the games and we had to ask for seconds on the peel and eat shrimp. There is so many good foods offered it is hard to imagine not finding something yummy!!!

My three girls really don't like the food at Ohana's all that much. We've done breakfast and dinner a couple of times there. We've done the special request children's menu as well. We spend a lot of money when we go and I just don't think it's worth the money for us, considering the little bit my girls will eat. On our last vist, my girls were ages 14, 9 and 8.

We liked it and are returning this trip. Our son 22 months was not eating much and the waiter brought him uncrustables, hot dog, and fries without us even asking. It was like a little kiddie variety platter. he ate the PBJ and fries and then proceeded to eat nearly all of the dessert. He had a ball with the little parade and coconut races. The older kids had a limbo contest and hula hoop contest. It was a fun time.

It's a favorite of ours. Our waiter was great! The food was so yummy! The kids both had chicken fingers and also tried what we had. They both loved the shrimp. They had so much fun playing the games. Every 20 minutes they have something for the kids to do. Ask to sit in the main dining room when you check in so you can see everything. My dh and I had fun watching the kids and having a break while they were up playing.

Loved it! Eating there again this trip. We thought the food was good. We liked the sausage, beef and pork, not so much the turkey but that may be because we were full of everything else. DS 4 at the time, liked it a lot as did my DS 10 at the time. Very good for our Low Carb lifestyle.
