Has Anyone Downgraded?

I love the Deluxes. That said, we like to save a few hundred dollars by staying at a Value for 1-2 nights.
This summer we started by Poly, then BWI, and ended by a night at POP, both of us expecting POP to be a major let down after being in Deluxes for a week. Well, we LOVED Pop.

The store is great, possibly the best store of all the resorts. Food court was good, the resort itself is really cute, funny little things everywhere. We had a room in the 80's section and it was quiet.

We liked it so much that we're going back in a couple weeks, after AKL.

And remember, even if the resort is not exactly to your liking, you have 4 awesome parks to keep you busy.

My visits to WDW began with a suite at Club Lake Villas (Disney Convention Center, which became Disney Institute), went to concierge level (now club level) at YC, then CSR, then POP for three visits!

I'm just as happy at POP as I am at the other resorts. While I love the atomosphere at the deluxe resorts, I really don't use the amenities. Given the price difference, I'll definitely stay at POP again! In fact, seven nights in December, followed by 3 nights club level at YC! :)

My only complaint at POP is lack of refrigerator. It isn't worth it to me to pay the rental fee, so I bring a soft-sided cooler or purchase a styrofoam one at WalMart or elsewhere off property. It serves the purpose! And if you can participate in a fridge-swap, all the better! :thumbsup2
