We are going on a Royal Caribbean cruise for Thanksgiving getting back into FLL on Saturday. I have rented a car through Alamo at the FLL aiport. I plan to take a taxi to the airport and pick up the car. We are driving to WDW and returning the car at the Alamo onsite. I was told by a WDW reservationist that they will bring us to our resort. I figured I don't need a car for the 4 days at WDW and we're taking ME back to the Orlando airport for our flight home.

Does this sound right?

Yes Alamo has a shuttle van to take you to your resort but you must call the Alamo Car Care Center at Disney at least 24 hours in advance to arrange this.

If you are returning the car to CCC you don't need an appointment for the shuttle. They have vans available. Its only when your pick up your car at CCC do you have to reserve a resort pickup time.

I believe there is a shuttle from the pier to the car rental facility at the airport. We rent from Alamo after a cruise (hate to fly home from FLL airport as it is a zoo with all the cruise ship passengers flying in and out). We have taken the shuttle - it used to be that each car rental company had their own shuttle, but now the ones that have their rental locations are consolidated in the Car Rental Facility, share a shuttle. You might want to check with Alamo to see if it is still available. Here is a link to the Port Everglades info : http://www.porteverglades.net/cruising/transportation/

Thanks everyone for the info! I will definitely call about the shuttle and save the taxi money.
