Has anyone done this while camping?

I was wondering has anyone ever went to FW camping and spent more time at the campground than at the parks? I'm thinking about a summer camping trip, but, funds are low since we were just at the world back in March. I have an AP but I still would have to buy theme park tickets for my 3 kids and my dh. Could we really go all the way to Disney and only spend a few days in the parks? Would we get bored? Are there daily activities like they have at other campgrounds? Any help would be great!

Over the years, we have spent more time at FW and less at the parks. We are now up to 10 day stays at FW, and only spend about 3 days at the parks. The other times we stay at FW, ride bikes, go resort hopping, go to DTD, play miniature golf, go over to mouse surplus, this year we are even doing the unthinkable and going over to Seaworld for a day. I also plan a golf day. There's plenty to do on property or if you venture off.

We were there in March for 9 days and only hit the parks for 3 of those days and DTD one day. On the days not in the park, we did a lot of bike riding, Sea Racers, horseback riding, carting around, campfire program, Hoop Dee Doo, and hit a couple of dinners at other resorts (AK - Boma  ). Also, just chilling at the campsite playing Chess and/or reading. We didn't do the pool because it was overly crowded and we have one at home. I believe there are scheduled activities throughout the day that could keep you busy. The schedules are in the packet they give you at check-in. I can't see how anyone could get bored at the Fort.:)

Thats about all we do I'm sick of the parks!!!! relaxing, cooking out, riding the cart and having a few cocktails!!! yes Im ready to go now!!!!!!!!!!!

Same hear. Usually just chill at the Fort.

We do about the same. We just re-newed our seasonals and are just taking it easy. Doing a lot of MGM this time lol. After I do some laundry we're heading over to MK. I have some fastpasses that are from Monday but they don't check dates so it won't be a long day. Well hopefully not. I'm going to go to Pecos Bills I think for lunch. I'm a south beacher so I'll just throw the bread away lol. Colson eat your heart out and I'll think of u while I'm enjoying it.

We spent a lot more time at FW than the parks. There is just so much to do there. We spent 7 days there and STILL didn't get to do everything we wanted to. When we do go back (a LONG time from now :sad2: ) we will be spending most of our time at FW and maybe taking the boat/monorail to the other resorts for meals.
