Has anyone done this in the past?

Hi all.....just wondering if anyone has done this in the past........We have four studios booked for the night of 1/2/09 at SSR.....DH and I, our two adult sons, and the other two rooms for cousins joining us from Washington. The two couples from WA don't get into MCO until after midnight. When I made the ressies I put the names of each couple for those other two rooms, however, now I'm thinking it would save them a trip to check-in if I put my name on one room, DH's on one, and each of my sons in the other two.......with the four from WA listed as the second person in each of the rooms......even though the room occupancy wouldn't be that way. This way we could check-in for everyone when we get there late afternoon on the 2nd and they could just come straight to the rooms instead of going to the front desk at all. Will this present a problem at gate security? I mean they will officially be checked in already........but, won't have a parking pass yet since we will have it waiting for them at the room. They should be able to just give security their name right?

The problem will come when you want to access your room. If you register each of you into a separate room your keys will open four separate doors. The same will be true of your cousins' keys. They now put each person's name on his/her room key (rather than the same name on all of them) so you won't be able to just swap keys.

How are your cousins getting to SSR? If they are taking Magical Express they'll be dropped off up by check-in anyway. In any event, I think having them check in on their own would probably be your best bet.

I wonder if you could get the keys all keyed the same?
