Has anyone done the Heart Assoc. walk?

I just signed up for one in Oct. I'm walking in memory of my mom.

Yep, I've done it here in MN. Ours is at the Mall of America.

We do ours here whenever possible. Me, DH and both kids. We always have a blast.

I don't know about the one this year. Since we probably won't go to Va Beach this wkend. b/c of the storm, we might go the weekend of the Walk. DD has that Monday off from school, giving us an extra day. (OT-- Va Beach, although fun, isn't DW, I wouldn't take her out of school just for this trip! LOL!) However, if we don't take that trip, I am sure we will do the Walk.

I think it is a great experience for the kids. We get them to ask for the donations and explain what it is all about to them.

Yes. I think it's a good cause. There is a lot of heart disease in my family.

Have done the Heart Walk Several times. Always walking in Memory of my Father. Very good cause. My Mother has also had open heart surgery.

I did one last year in the fall...late September/early October. We also do a Diabetes walk, but diabetes isn't as well-known or well-regarded as heart disease, which is too bad, because diabetes is a big drain on healthcare today.
