Has anyone done the fishing trip at Ft. Wilderness?

My DH wants to try the fishing trip at Ft. Wilderness and take our 2 boys. It leaves at 7 am. Has anyone done this before? Thanks!

It was great. I live in Louisiana and have a fishing camp down in Point a la Hache which is deep in the bayous and I've been fishing all my life so I was a bit skeptical about the WDW fishing experience... but it was AWSOME! I took a friend and his two sons, and I even brought my own "rattle traps” (a type of fishing lure that Bass love) and we ended up boating 9 bass that ranged from 4-9 pounds... we don't get bass that big that often her in La. so it was cool... and fishing in the shadow of the castle as the monorail goes by early in the morning is awesome...
One funny aside: My three buddies and I had caught all 9 of the fish, the guide had caught none, and we were past the 4 hours we had bought, yet the guide kept fishing... then we went 15 minutes past the time, 20... 30... and the guide (and us) kept fishing intently... Finally, since I was paying for the trip and getting a little nervous that he was going to charge me for the extra time I asked "are we on your clock or mine now that were past the 4 hour limit?" He responded with a big smile "Guys, we're fishin' on my time now... I've been doing this for 7 years, and I'll be darned if I’m gonna let a bunch of Cajuns come into my "house" and "skunk me!!! We fish till I land one!!!"
What a hoot! We got an extra hour of fishing till he landed his bass!

It was a great time!

My husband would love this! Does any one know how much it is, what is included and who you call to make the reservations? Also, how many go out in the boat?

I think it was $180 for 4 hours of guided fishing. I made the ressies through the Disney Club, but i think you can reserve through the front desk of your hotel or the same # you make your ps's.

It was $180 for the trip, up to 5 people included... it included drinks, (don't remember if food was included) and all fishing gear (I had brought a few lures that are my favorite), and 4 hours of fishing.

we were going to do this in mid Aug when we were there, but got to chatting with the guides. We told them we were interested, but that we would be visiting again in early March. (since we know a bit about fish we knew that when it is a bit cooler they are more active and that around spring is when Bass mate) They said to definately do the fishing trip in March. "They go nuts then. You will always catch some, but spring is when we catch the most/biggest"

We did send our DS (8) on the kids fishing trip though. It was around 30/35 dollars and they were out for around and hour. (perhaps a little longer). This also included all kinds of fishing gear, bait and sodas. Two guides go along to help out the kids. (we even sent him with a camera and the guides took pics of him with his catches.) They fish for sunnies and bluegills along the docks and get lots of them. (some real monsters too!!!)
