Just wondering if anyone has done Mickey's Backyard BBQ?
I just kicking around the idea of doing it this March.

Thanks have a magical day!! :flower1:

We went to the Bar-be-que last March. We enjoyed it, but probably won't do it again for a while. The food is typical bar-be-que fare. The kids get to dance with the characters, but this can get quite chaotic. If you have little ones, watch them. Seating is first come first serve, so get there early. You may want one person to grab the table, while someone else gets the food. All in all, We enjoyed it and are glad we went.

We went two years ago in August -- I had always wanted to try it. Our kids at the time were 11, 9, and 5. It was our least favorite Disney thing ever. We are game for most anything, but we would never do this again. It was like a glorified autograph session. The food was mediocre, it was noisy, chaotic, and most of the night I remember it as kids lining up to get autographs of the characters. This is the only thing at Disney ever that my kids actually asked to leave from before it was over. Go to the hoop-de-doo instead!

We went in August 2003. IMHO it was awful. DH and I felt like it was a free for all with the kids and the characters. When we went back last July we skipped it and used the money instead to do character meals where the characters came to your table and I didn't worry about the kids being trampled. However, the food was fine.

The food was o.k., and we enjoyed the line dancing. Music was fine, but when the characters came out it was a free-for-all. There was no order. Kids running everywhere unsupervised. Instead of line dancing, the lineups and mixups filled the dance floor. Certainly not worth the $$$. However, that was 2 years ago, and perhaps they are more organized now.

Nope - it is still a madhouse. We went this past July for the first and last time. Did it once, not going back. We love Hoop Dee Doo though! If I had a choice, that is what I would go with.
