Has anyone ever stayed at a Disney resort with Concierge level service? We are trying to decide if it would save us money because we are such a large group?

Regradless of the size of your group, you will never save money paying for concierge service.

Concierge is not a meal plan, other than breakfast there is nothing that's a meal. There is nothing but some Goldfish crackers and candies at lunch time, a cheese and cracker tray and ahot appetizer before dinner, and some deserts after.

Additionally you'd need to take time out from the parks to be at the resort during this time.

I'm not sure how large your group is, but keep in mind that deluxe resorts charge $25 per person for each adult after the first two per room.

I have not stayed concierge in 3 years but we loved it. There was alot of food then. The BWI had a great breakfast, Hot oatmeal, bagles, cereal. You can take all teh water bottles & sodas you want. BWI has tea in the afternoon with P & J sandwiches, Ham & cheese snacks. Then in the evening they always had appitzer & wine. The appitxers were the hot appitzers the resturants in the hotel were serving + fresh veggie tray & cheese. Before bed the desert offering were out of this world. Again from the bakery served with Liqures. We have stayed using our AP with 5 in a room so we thought it was a great thing to do. :wizard:

concierge is about $100 a nite extra....is it worth it? not really, it is fun to do if you have the money(see my sig) I have stayed several times there. you cannot use this as a meal replacement(my DD and I did) only because we barely eat anything!! take the extra 100 a day.........have a grat meal!

Depending on the size of your group, you might want to consider renting enough DVC points from a member to get a Grand Villa that will accomodate up to 12 people. You will have a full kitchen and laudry facilities at a deluxe resort. Just eating breakfast in the villa will save a ton of money. Check out the DVC Member Rent/Trade board if you're interested.

We stayed at AKL Concierge and I would say it probably paid for itself.....if not it sure was fun! We loved having drinks whenever we wanted, eating breakfast there before heading out for the day, having snacks at the end of the day before dinner. It was a nice thing and if we go back we will do that again.

this is a great idea! probaly your best bet, and it will give you so much room! Concierge is fun, as I said I have done it several times. but the food....mostly carbs, and doughnuts and pastry stc...for breakfast, I like my egg whites!!and a full meal is not want you will be getting, unless you just do ceral and toast.
I think this idea is great!

We stayed Polynesian Concierge last August. For us it was worth it, but it was only $57.00 a day extra (we had the Disney Visa deal pay for 4 stay for 7). There were six of us - my youngest was 2 at the time. We had breakfast each morning, sometimes a small smack in the afternoon, and probably 4 out of seven nights dinner. There was alot at dinner to easily fill you and we loved it. The 3 nights we did not eat in concierge was due to there not being anything that we would like (i.e. sushi).

Is it worth the $100 a night more? If there is enough of you , probably. When we do a sit down meal in Disney it usual runs at least $80 - $100.

We did it wile at Paradise Pier (DL) and it was well worth the extra 30 or 40 bucks that it cost us at that time.

The free water, soft drinks, fruit, snacks, breakfast, etc was really nice and they were very helpfull helping us get our activities in order.

We loved our concierge stay at the BC...it was so convenient to have breakfast so close by, and we enjoyed having dessert and a drink when we returned at night. The kids enjoyed the soda & snacks in the afternoon. It saved us some $$, but I doubt it saved enough to cover the extra per night charge on the room.

we just stayed at the poly conc. for easter, when i booked the poly they only had a lagoon view and for $20 more a night was a garden view conc. we took the garden view conc room. but even if you compare the rate of the garden view if it was available at the time to the garden view conc. the extra $$ would have been worth it to us. we were just in wdw for christmas so we didnt need to go to any of the parks, instead we stayed at the resort all day swimmining at the pool from the time the kids got up to late at night. from the time the kids got up until 10:30 we ate breakfast twice :rotfl: then we did get a sandwich from the fast food place at the poly for lunch, but we split our lunches and an hour later the kids were eating the snacks from the afternoon menu, the dinner menu was hot wings & another hot food item or noodles & chicken or fried rice & spring rolls cheese crackers, pinapple & veggies . pop, beer, lemonaid , water. then the evening desserts and liquor, dh and i drank beer with our hot food items at dinner time and bailys in our coffee in the evening with our desserts while we watched the MK fireworks from the beach and the water parade, we sure got our money worth just on beverges, between pop, water, beer & liquor just alone paid the extra $20 a night. the rest was just a bonus to us so we didnt mind paying for a lunch here or there and dh and i went to the yacht club steak house and split a steak dinner, yummy and the kids ate at beaches & cream. but like another dis said if you are planning to go to the parks it may not be worth getting conc.
