Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

I've finished all but one of our magic bands for our upcoming trip to the happiest place on earth! I was inspired by so many of the awesome posts on this thread! You guys are so talented. I am a pretty good copycat. Anyway, mine is Dumbo, my son is Stitch, my daughter has the Cinderella coach, and the baby girl has the Doc McStuffins friends. Our teenage friend is Olaf. My husband painted Dug the Dog from Up. All I have left is to paint Nemo and Dory on the last band for another friend coming along. They were lots of fun to do!

I don't believe that they are selling them online, yet. I did ask around if any friends were going that could purchase them ahead of time, but alas, no one had trips planned.

I did take a look at the duck tape today and I may give that a go on a couple of the bands just for simplicity, but I really want to give my DD a Frozen themed band. She will flip out!

That's too bad there isn't a way to get them before you go.

I have found some stickers for my DS's but not sure if I shouldn't try to find the temporary tattoos instead. The oldest is a Star Wars fan and the youngest loves all things Mickey. DH wants me to leave his alone. LOL!

For my DD and I, I am ordering some Swarovski 2058 flatback rhinestones in clear crystal to adorn our pink and red bands. I think I'll try Mickey head shapes with the 3mm for ears and the 5mm for the head. I'm thinking a tiny dab of E6000 ought to do the trick to hold them in place. If the Mickey head shape doesn't work out, we'll just bling them out with the rhinestones. We love our sparkle.

Somewhere in the last 10 pages or so someone mentioned something about E6000 not holding up. I attached rhinestones with nail polish, and they haven't budged, but I am an AP and live nearby, so my band doesn't go in the pool or get the same workout that others worn 24/7 do.

It is just my opinion, but the stickers seem not quite right for the bands. They don't seem have the same flexiibilty as the tattoos or rub ons, and sometimes look thick or crinkled.

I did see it and it's definitely a strong option! It's just the crafty side of me wants to tackle something a little bigger.

Hi we just got back wanted to give feedback on our bands. All the bands turned out great. Our bands did glow in the dark the whole trip. The glow in the dark mod podge was amazing

Did the mod podge crack? I heard that it did and how many coats?

Thanks guys! I had so much fun doing them! Yes, they are very addictive. I am so glad to see others like the Cinderella Carriage especially because it is the one I felt most self-conscious about. I knew I would not be able to pull off painting Cindy herself, so I had to find something extra special for DD.

I've finally finished my bands! Now I just have to wait for my DM to get over her nerves and let me decorate hers!

Ariel is my favorite princess, so I wanted for one of my bands to be mermaid inspired. We're also stayed in the Little Mermaid section at Art of Animation, as well as attending MNSSHP as Ariel and Ursula, so it was an obvious choice.

Purple is my favorite color and I love anything that sparkles, so this one happened. It unintentionally matches my dress, too! The pictures don't really do the glitter justice though.

Decorating these were surprisingly easy; although, the mermaid one did take some time. Nail polish remover seemed to work just fine on touching up the scales, too. The dark purple is CoverGirl's new "Glowing Nights," which I thought was going to glow in the dark, but you need a blacklight to see it. I'm anxious to see how it will/if it will glow on some of the rides!
