Has anyone decorated a balcony?

We are headed to WDW for Christmas. We are staying at WL. In the past we've decorated our window at POFQ for Halloween. I am bringing a Christmas tree for the room, but was also considering a simple garland and lights to put on the balcony railing. I also have a Mickey shaped wreath with lights we use at home and I was thinking about hanging this on the railing as well. I was just wondering if anyone has done this before? Is there even a place to plug the lights in on the balcony or would I need an extension cord and plug it in in the room? If anyone has seen or done this before I'd love to know. Also any pictures would be great! Thanks.:santa:

I think the deluxe resorts are beautiful. I don't think anyone but Disney should decorate them.

Yeah, I kind of agree, but I've seen a picture of a balcony decorated with a simple green garland with lights and berries and a matching Mickey head wreath that was super cute and would match the WL theme perfectly.

Besides that we have a standard room booked so it wouldn't take away from any of the main areas, like say the courtyard. We've stayed at WL right before Christmas once and saw many balonies decorated, all very tastefull. We could even see some full size trees in some of the rooms. I just don't know how they plugged in the lights on the balcony.

Within the last few months I saw a picture here on the boards of a mickey wreath and garland, but I can't seem to find it now.

With all the other stuff we'll be bringing, tree for the room, gifts, plus all the different clothes we'll need to bring to Florida in December, LOL, we probably won't have room in the car for anything else anyway. Hahaha.

I think simple garland and white lights would be very tasteful and pretty on your balcony. It's your vacation, you do want you want as long as Disney allows it. Have a great Christmas vacation!

I agree -- have fun with it! People decorate their windows at mods and values...why not do your balcony?
