Has anyone brought their own coffeemaker on the plane?

I'm planning to bring my bubble wrapped mini-Keurig with us and have it in my luggage to be checked in. We will be flying Southwest . I was just wondering if anyone else has brought theirs down as well. We are staying at POP and it doesn't have coffeemakers in the room. And I can't stand the Nescafe coffee in Everything POP in the mornings.:surfweb:

I'm not at all sure I would put in it my checked luggage. I don't put anything in my checked luggage that I don't want to lose.
Why not wrap it up well and put it in your carryon bag?? Much safer that way.

I agree. I'd be worried about theft.

Rather than bring my expensive coffeemaker, I'd buy a cheapo somewhere (or once I got there if I had a car) and bring that plus my favorite brand of coffee. I think you can find a small coffee maker for around $20.

Then I'd leave it there. :) (I'd just consider it part of my vacation spending & the price I pay for being particular about my coffee. And I am, LOL).

My Keurig goes where I go. Can't live without my K-cups!:thumbsup2

I bought a small, cheap coffeemaker at Target a week ago for $7. Back to college sales!

I love fresh coffee too so I would either buy a cheapie or put the good one in my carry on. Not just worrying about theft but how they toss the bags around. I know it doesn't have a carafe to break but still might damage something internally.

We are at disney now. Put mini Keurig and k cups in carry on. Flew through security no questions asked. We were on southwest. Barb
