Has anyone bought from Lakeside Collection?

Ran across an insert in Redplum coupons from Sunday for Lakeside Collection. They had some nice things with deep discounts. To me it looks like another ABC distributing, maybe the same company? But we have used ABC many times, and like the products. I just wanted to know if anyone has used this company and what the quality of the products are. I'm looking to buy Christmas presents from it or ABC.

I have before and I've always been satisfied. I plan to buy some gifts from them this year as well. There's been a few issues along the way, items getting backordered etc but I think that can happen just about anywhere. Its always better to buy the items earlier vs later particularly seasonal ones and shopping online vs via the paper catalog means you can both use various reward programs to get % back and you know much faster if the item is in or out of stock. One caveat - read the item descriptions carefully for size, weight etc. But that goes for any catalog. I like to flip through the paper copy so I can view the pictures better, then order online.

Yes, just received an order from them the other day. I have been happy with everything I've purchased from them. However, you do get what you pay for. If it is something extremely cheap in price it may be cheap in quality too. Not unusable cheap but maybe the paper is a little thinner or something like that.
Also, I have seen some things that are not priced better than a store so know your prices.

According to the company, they do not offer free or discounted shipping, just lower prices on their merchandise. I went ahead and ordered mine even though I paid over $20 in shipping costs.

All I can say against them is that you have to order early because the shipping is slow and they tend to run out of items in December.

Yep, I've checked, even with the shipping costs I can't find the stuff cheaper anywhere, and I'm a very good internet bargain hunter if I do say so myself At least the things I want from them. Some things I even have had trouble finding anywhere else.

I've had no problems with any orders from them. As PP said just be sure to check the size of the item before buying, but that's it!

I have a couple times - for the most part its what others have said. Slow shipping and quality is ok.. but you get what you pay for.

I had one pain in the butt problem that annoyed me so much I just gave up. I ordered probably 3 items and they sent 1, other two were on backorder and never came in.. Well the one item I did recieve was totally not the right thing and huge. I was a large box with a light up palm tree.. Finally I got someone on the phone and they want me to pay for shipping back. Heck no. I waited 2 weeks for a return slip and had to then call back to complain. Then to be told I need to ship it back. Now this was 3 or so years ago so I know things could change but that was a big enough head ache for me I was done.. Oh the first women tried to talk me into keeping it too. No way.

Well, the coupon insert i mentioned earlier out of the Red Plum insert was for 50 percent off selected products. It was coupon code SHOP50. I havent had time to look at the items that it falls under but it had some neat stuff on the insert.
