Has anyone bought from Amazon Warehouse Deals?

I shop Amazon from time to time, but just noticed part of the website. http://www.warehousedeals.com/info/About_Us

Prices are generally good because according to the site, "We offer open-box, refurbished, and slightly damaged merchandise at reduced prices with the benefits of Amazon.com fulfillment and customer service."

However, everything I look at says "used". Is this a standard? If something is out of the box and then put back in, is it considered used? Or do they mean someone had it at their house, used it for a while and returned it for whatever good or (probably) bad reason?

I emailed amazon and they were not "able to comment on specific products", which of course did not answer my question about something being used.

Thanks.

Basically this is how Amazon gets rid of returned merchandise.

I bought a "refurbished" GPS unit from Amazon Warehouse Deals. It looked new and came in the original box with all the bits and pieces. HOWEVER, it turned out to be A) broken (sound didn't work) and B) full of some other person's saved information!

I returned it, and I won't be ordering from AWD again. The only good thing is that the items are returnable.
