Has anyone booked a group trip?! Looking for help!

Well I have found out the definate dates for our HS band trip to DISNEY! We are going Feb 1st through the 6th. They are being split up and will fly out of Philly and Newark. The band is staying at Port Orleans riverside.

Tagalong parents and families have to go on their own, but I figure we can put together a group rate package.

What should I do 1st? Anyone have any advice? TIA

It pretty much goes to a 1:1 ratio. If you have 30 children in your band, you can purchase 30 additional tickets/rooms at the same rate. They would be required to pay when you did, and exceptions are made for the 3-9 age range. Since Disney will not include transportation, you would have to work that out with the families who are coming.

I never actually was in the planning state, but have learned a lot with DD's band going more than 2 during her 4 years of H.S. Her band director decided early on to keep the number of parents at the student/chaperone ratio that Disney requires and made all other parents do their own travel plans. It was way too much work to include all the family members who want to go. You need to think all brothers and sisters over the age of 9, Mom/Dad, Steps, Grandparents etc. It does add up and if you hit that number where you have more "spectators than band members" do you really want to be the one saying, Sorry your family has been chosen to pay full rate, we are full? Just something to think about.
