Has anyone booked a campsite stay through AAA?

I am vaguely aware that AAA sometimes (always?) has some extra(s) if you book a resort stay through them -- mugs, use of the lounge, etc. I have never actually booked a stay through them, though, so I don't know details. It seems that there are not going to be ANY discounts for our March camping trip (not AP, not AAA, and I miss the Disney Club so much already!) and I was now thinking that if nothing else perhaps we could book through AAA's travel agency and get whatever benefits might be available.

My limited experience in dealing with them was not good, however, in that they will not return calls if you use their website, and when I called I got an agent who was clueless (nice, but her info was all wrong) I am just trying to "work all angles" and save some money or get some additional benefits.

The only things I have purchased at AAA was tickets, but that was when AAA was the only place to get any discounts on tickets.

At that time AAA provided "up front" parking passes with any purchase. When we were there in December I noticed that the AAA preferred parking signs are still up, so you probalby still get that.

Currently, the best park ticket prices I found was throught Disney with the pre purchase plan.

Unfortunately, unless you book a package, including park tix, through AAA you get no perks at all. We are annual passholders, but no discounts on campsites for our March trip, nor AAA discount. Kind of weird that a campsite is more expensive than a motel room!

I just don't get Disney not offering discounts in March (2-3 weeks before Easter) but discounting for July 4th week.

Our local AAA just had a Disney Event today. They're price was a whopping 10 CENTS less that booking online thru Disney. The ticket prices are also better thru Disney, or thru officialticketcenter.com. I like that one, because they have tickets for NASA, IOA, and Sea World, too. I'll sacrifice a few dollars for convienence (sp?)

Were there AAA discounts for regular disney resorts for your dates? There are almost always AAA discounts available, but sometimes they sell out for specific times. They were the same as the Disney club, in general.

March is busy with college spring breaks.

I didn't book thru AAA, but got the AAA discount for our partial hook-up in April thru CRO. Don't know if that would help you. I'm also planning on attending a local camping/RV show and hoping they will have some discount tickets. I read that they did last year.
