My brother finally booked flights there will be 4 of them and 3 of us. We do want separate cars but would be handy for one of us to have a 7 seater so we can go to parks etc in one car. Also they have not been before so won't know their way around. I don't really like the mini vans but when I was in Grand Canyon last year I got upgrade to a 7 seater 4x4 for free. It was one of those that had the 2 fold down seats at the back. Anyone ever get one of these. Assume we would have to pay but just wondered if they are actually available. My friend had a 7 seater jeep once but that was a few years ago.
Thanks

When we got married I had an intermediate SUV but we got to parking lot and we had seven seven seater but that was before you picked your own cars

We have been upgraded from int SUV to full size every time we go. But I have a wheelchair with me so I'm not sure if they see that and just think the bigger car will be better for us. Having said that the person always says we have upgraded you for free - tipwise;)

We get a 7 seater SUV when there is 3 of us, collecting another next Monday.

When its 6 of us I always go for the 7 seater minivan. even though they are not as nice as the SUV they are more practical for luggage, some of the 7 seater SUV's have very little luggage space due to the extra row of seats.

We've rented a mid-size SUV with Alamo and at MCO you now select the type-make you want from a row of mid-sized SUV's. When we arrived there was only two or three mid-size SUV's in the row so Alamo started moving a few of the larger SUV's into the mid-size row.

We were told we could take the larger SUV which was a 7-seater at no extra charge and we only had to pay Alamo a slightly higher charged for the larger tank of fuel, which I think cost around $14 more and so paid around $87 for the fuel.

Luggage not an issue as we will have own cars to and from airport. Wish I'd known they were coming when I booked our car as we got that deal through Hertz some time back. I will look to see if I can find them a good deal for a 7 seater SUV.

Should be OK then. I booked ours for Easter with the Hertz deal, £230 for 2 weeks, would be a lot more now.

I was pricing up for 3 weeks in August, either 2 x full size cars or 1 x 7 seater minivan.
2x cars were £635
1x Minivan £450
We will share a 7 seater again, not paying nearly £200 more to have separate cars, although deals/offers will change before I book.

If you opt for second driver do they have to be present when picking up car. My brother arrives 2 days later. Thanks

Yes, I have tried adding DW a few times without her but had to call her over, wouldn't add her without being there to sign.
I tried the Alamo electronic Kiosk last year, to add her it told me I had to goto the desk (didn't bother as the line looked well over 1 hour long)
