WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS A NICE RESTAURANT? HOW IS THE FOOD AND WHAT KIND OF FOOD DO THEY HAVE?:surfweb:

There are mixed reviews, some love it, some hate it. Check www.Allearsnet.com for the menu, I think it's a buffet. Also, try the Search feature, you should get lots of responses.

I can't help with your question, but take off your caps lock. When you write in all caps it's seen as screaming on the internet. No biggie, just an FYI:thumbsup2

We were there this past October...The food is served buffet style...It is very American...They have fried chicken, ribs, chili, salad, pizza, veggies, and a few other dishes... The place is nice... Not fancy at all... The food is good...I would describe the place and the food as "simple"... Our server was nice and we were seated right away... We had a nice big table and felt very comfortable... The price is right if you are paying OOP...

If you are looking for a place to eat well and relax, this is the place to go.

Best low cost buffet thoughout Disney.

breakfast in good. Love those mickey waffles.

It was alright. Food is similar to Whispering Canynon. The night we were there we were seated beside huge groups of cheerleaders and our server was very preoccupied with the big groups. But we would try it again.

I loved it. Peaceful boatride from MK, early dinner service, very quiet, not crowded, no kids, good food. Ft. Wilderness was the one place on property that didn't feel hot. What's not to like?
A very "old folks" dinner buffet. I'm not sure it's suitable for families.

We have 3 kids who like Trail's End! Our family eats there usually every trip - nothing fancy, just good food at a good price compared to other Disney buffets! Kind of quiet and off the beaten path. It's a nice change to some of the busier restaurants. I'd check the menus at allearsnet.com to see if the food choices suit you.

Don't tell anyone about Trail's End! It's a family secret. The food is good and so is the service. It is on our list every trip. The food is what I would call homey. Ribs, carved meats, stuffing, veggies. The desserts are cobblers but you can get others (those are not included in the buffet price). I would recommend it!! It is a nice boat ride from MK. Close to the barns (not that close!) so the kids can see the animals including the horses from Main Street. :)

This is the best and most affordable place and very excellent service. I make it a point to eat her at least once every time I make a trip to WDW. You won't be sorry no matter what meal you choose.

Its a small, very down home country style buffet, that is nice on the pocketbook. We tried it the first time in October, and will return again someday, most likely as a reward after the Disney Marathon in Jan (we're trying other places when we go in Sept for FD). The food is good, but make sure you go through the buffet the right way! The gravy is last, not first, like some yankees thought in October! :lmao:

My husband might like that place. lol Sounds like something that would be up his alley. :thumbsup2

I forgot to add-according to my brother, anyplace that serves drinks in Mason jars is good for him. I told you it is homey :)

My family enjoyed eating there. The only downside we felt was that the tables were set too close together. Nothing that would keep us from going back again. Good food and a great time was had there.

One of our favorites, very relaxed, very cool..we usually go in August or September, so AC is big on my list! The buffet was clean and well stocked, something for everyone. Fried chicken, roast beef, chilli, mac n cheese, very American, and very good. This is a good choice for kids on the dining plan if your kids are tired of chicken nuggets and pizza, which are the staples on the kids menus at WDW.

I will add my agreement to most of the posters. Good food, nothing special and fairly inexpensive compared to other Disney dining. We have had both breakfast and dinner there and thought the food was good. Not a place for food snobs though.
