Has anyone been to the new Spa at SSR?

I'm wondering if anyone has been to the Spa at SSR since it re-opened. Would love to hear comments!

DH & I both had massages this past Tuesday 8/6.

New decor is very nice. The majority of the layout remained the same. Some nice new features ("Relaxation Lounge").

Hate to say it but we were both disappointed in our therapists. Both very pleasant but as far as technique & time management... Not bad but not great. For ~$300 (50 min Swedish x 2, -DVC discount, +gratuity), I expected better.

Sorry to hear that. I went there several times, and always would request the same therapist. I now wonder if the new Spa retained the existing staff. I hope so.

We were at SSR week July 26-August 5th. The opening of the spa was only mentioned at check-in. Nothing in the rooms promoting services, etc. I called inquiring about the services and the CM on the phone was not helpful.

I had asked about the old staff as we had frequented the spa when it was under Nikki Bryan & while our favorites had departed a while back, I had a list of names as referrals. Was told that only 1 person stayed and 1 that had previously left came back but that was it.

Hopefully yours is one of them!

Had a great stay & still generally enjoyed the spa experience overall just didn't get the same feeling as in the past. And with the price increases...
