Has anyone been to the Magic Kingdom on Labor Day?

I went from getting really nervous, to calming down a little- this thread is giving me anxiety! LOL! We are going Sept 3-10th this year and we always go in November, but it is just too crowded during our usual time we go. I figured that the weekend of and up to Labor Day is going to be a bit busier, and I already warned my family. I read that after Labor Day it gets better, and that what I'm looking forward to. I just want somewhat lighter crowds than November lol. But just being there is enough for me to be happy!
Don't worry, it will be great!

Like i said in an earlier post, I was there last year on Labor Day and the week after- and I thought it was crowded. People on this thread saying that it was in fact Not Crowded, are seriously giving me anxiety since I will be there on Black Friday this year and if 2015 Labor Day wasn't considered crowded, then I'm going to be in hell this coming thanksgiving lol

We were there over most of the Labor Day weekend in 2014. It was super hot and the parks were practically deserted.

This was Fantasyland late morning (I think we were heading to BOG for lunch):

This is back during the first Frozen Summer Fun time, when A&E were still a really hot ticket and I remember seeing 20 minute posted wait times for them in the evening. My theory is that most of the country is either already back in school or are going back right after Labor Day, and with the temps being so hot the locals are hanging by pools or at the beach rather than sweating through a theme park during their last long weekend of the summer.
We were there Labor Day week in 2014 as well and agree it was deserted. I remember the wait for TSMM an hour after the park opened was posted at 20 minutes! I've never seen that short of a wait. We really didn't need fastpasses for anything but SDMT & A&E that week. It was a great time to visit except for the oppressive heat.

There was more than one thread started last fall with people wondering why it was so crowded in September. So you aren't alone in feeling that is was a bit crazy. We felt the same way as did many others.

OMG it was so hot. SO HOT. We got stuck by Splash during the parade and were literally drenched in sweat in just a couple of minutes because we were standing out in the sun. The crowds were the lowest we've ever experienced but everyone swore off ever going that time of year again because of the heat.

I remember one day the posted time for TSM was 55 minutes and the other day it was 75. We were through the ride in 20 and 25 minutes, respectively. On one of those rides, we were to the merge point in 12 minutes, but then got held there "just in case" some FP holders came through. They didn't, and we were finally allowed through.

We arrived in Orlando on Labor Day 2015 thinking we'd be smart and miss the crowds. Nope, all the folks who had reservations the week before but got scared of the hurricane forecast (was supposed to hit Orlando) moved their trips to the next week...with us...so apparently, the week before Labor Day was great and the week after got really busy. We are regular Sept. Disney people and we felt it was the busiest we'd ever seen for Sept. We went in mid-Dec the year before and felt the crowds were pretty similar to that. Not summer or Christmas, but much busier than we were used to in Sept. We are back this year for Sept 1-10.

We were also there last year that time.. The week before ( hurrican scare we were in Cape coral watching weather reports) then did Disney.. Last year it was the most crowded ever!! I noticed a HUGE difference Labor Day week 2015 vs 2014 vs 2013... last year was packed... Most rides were 60 minutes... And ALOT of families took their Kids out of School, I asked as I was getting frustrated with all These american famiies with School Kids.. All with souther accents ( took Kids out).. East coast accents still had break.

Well, I don't have a southern accent. But I was one of the American families who took my kid out of school- for 2 weeks.
I am also taking him out for 9 school days again this coming fall/early winter for a 7 night cruise on DCL and 5 nights at WDW.

They don't get a "spring break", I can't take vacation time from work during Christmas break. We have other vacations in the summer-and I have no desire to go back to WDW during the summer months. (Last time was '08 and it was miserable)

So, I'll continue taking my child out of school for Disney or other destinations if that's what fits our schedule best.
