Has anyone been to Splash Lagoon in Erie, PA?

Usually my family goes to Kalahari in Sandusky for a night, but the prices have gotten more expensive. We have been to Great Wolf Lodge and Castaway Bay. This year I was looking into going to Splash Lagoon. I was wondering what you thought of it and what hotel you stayed at? I was looking at the Comfort Inn---it is the least expensive connected hotel.

My family LOVES Splash Lagoon. We have been there a couple of times. We actualy stayed at a hotel across the road from there (they had a shuttle) and were just fine with that. We would do that again for the savings if need be. We live in PA a couple hours away from Erie so we made it a weekend get away. We enjoyed the numerous restraunt choices and the shopping too. It was very nice to be at the water slides around supper time becasue they were EMPTY so we would do some other things earlier in the day while it was very busy and then ride the slides and swim til our hearts were content later in the day.

Thanks! I was wondering how the shuttle works? I would like to stay cheaper, but didn't want to stand outside in the snow waiting for a shuttle to come get us

I was wondering about this park too.... has anyone been to Kalahari or Great Wolf and to Splash.....How do they compare? Trip advisor reviews were questionable.....making me nervous!

It seems kind of small...similar to Great Wolf?

We stay at the Econo Lodge across the street and shuttle over. Rent a large locker for the day and stay all day break for Dinner at Cracker Barrell Kids Fav . Then go back. We have also done a over night package with our older youth group . Never a dull time.

My family and I are Kalahari fans-in Sandusky, OH. We're going at the end of this month. We cannot wait. So much fun. And warm too. Other parks we've been too were ok once you were swimming and moving around...Kalahari is toasty!
