Has anyone been to Space Camp?

Considering Space Camp for our DSs. They won't be old enough for the week long program until 2004. However, there is a parent/child weekend option that they are old enough for. I was thinking of giving it to DH as a birthday gift. Has anyone been? How did you like it?

I did not go, but I gave my father and my daughter it as a gift 4 years ago. I got them the entire outfit setup too and the video tape. I am not sure who had more fun. Both of them are space nuts and my father is a private pilot, it was awesomr for them both. I sent them down two days early and they got in a little extra Disny too I think it is a trip neither will ever forget

Growing up on the Space Coast our schools did Space Camp programs and field trips. I never spent a full week there, but one of my friends did and really enjoyed it. I participated in the shorter programs when I was younger. It is so much fun, for both boys and girls. If the cost is not prohibitive I would definitely suggest doing this!
