Has anyone been to Disney during one of the Star Wars weekends?

I know it's going to be extremely busy, but I'm just wondering if anyone has been there, and done that. Just wondering what I should expect for crowds.

We're very excited to be going at this time. Any other tips anyone may have will be greatly appreciated!

When in Star Wars Weekends? I think I may have inadvertently set my date during that time period. I will be there May 26th thru June 1st.

Yup, you did. I'm not sure when it ends, but it starts either the 20th or the 21st.

It was very crowded in the Star Wars area around the ride, the rest of the park was fine.

Aw well, last minute trip so we will just enjoy being there. Thanks for the info. Does anyone know for sure when it ends?
Catsrule, how were the other parks aside from MGM?

Iwas there last year (and going again this year). Crowds were fine in all the parks. As a previous poster said, only place you find crowds is around Star Tours. My kids really loved this event.

The final weekend is June 10 - 12 - that's when we'll be there !

Like everyone else said, it's fine. DD enjoyed one of the DJ areas they had set up, and many of the Star Wars characters make a guest appearance in the Stars and Motor Cars parade. It was fun to see R2-D2 and C3PO

We were there during the SW weekends in May of 2003, and did not notice any additional traffic in the parks. Even MGM wasn't terribly crowded - we didn't even realize it was SW until we got to MGM our 2nd day!

The crowd levels were typical, they were normal. Only MGM around Star Wars was packed.
