I went on the one in AK, Backstage Safari, in November. It was about 3-3 1/2 hours. We got to see the animal overnight facilities, avian facility, food prep and storage building, and we went on the Kilimanjaro Safari ride without the narration, where our tour guide gave us some info on how the animals are encouraged to stay in view, what the horiculturists do, and showed us some hidden food spots. In the middle of the tour, we went into a building and meeting room, had snacks, potty stop, watched a film, and got to see and pet another small animal (I think it was a lizard that day). I loved the tour, but I love everything about AK. What I found impressive about our guide was that if someone asked a question he couldn't answer, he'd get on his walkie talkie right away and try to get an answer for that person. I'd love to do the other tour, Wild by Design, but be aware that the 2 tours are only on certain days, which may "decide" which one you go on!
